Our large family group fit well into this house which had plenty of space and tableware for us all. Vance provided excellent and timely communication and allowed us to check in early. However, several quirks about this property make it unlikely for me to stay here again. The two downstairs bathrooms have sliding barn doors which offer very little privacy next to the living room. There are no bedrooms that have a private en-suite bathroom. The master bedroom downstairs is supposed to use the detached bathroom that doesn’t close properly which didn’t work well for my parents who didn’t want to trek up and down the creaky stairs. The two king bedrooms upstairs share an original sliding door which affords very little privacy or sound and light blocking. Also, the house smelled badly of weed due to the habits of the neighbors while we were there. It’s an old house which affords both charm and a slightly dilapidated feel. For the same amount of money, we’ve had nicer places.

This property had everything we wanted for a big family Thanksgiving gathering - plenty of seating and space to be together to cook, eat and play. The kitchen was large and well-stocked with all the cookware and dining ware we needed for 10 adults. The beds were very comfortable and cozy. We really liked having 4 bathrooms so there were no lines! The neighborhood has buildings in various stages of remodeling and repair, and we felt safe taking walks in the morning. We are aware that renting a historic building in a historic neighborhood means that there will be some quirks, but this building had the things we needed the most for a successful family reunion. We're already talking about coming back next year!

Stayed at this property for a SLU graduation. Location was perfect for getting to campus and going out for several great meals in various areas. Easy access to everything.The living space and bedrooms are large and comfortable. The mattresses are so comfortable (Vance what kind are they???)!!! Vance is a fantastic host and super responsive! House was perfect for our stay. Beds super comfortable. Home was immaculate. Location was good. Lots of room. Bathrooms are a bit small. Downstairs bathrooms have sliding barn doors that look nice but when using, and someone walks by they can easily see through the cracks on the sides of the barn doors.
