At Sleepy Hollow Cottage you will enjoy the beautiful water and fantastic view of Smith Lake at our 3 bedroom 2 bath brick house.
Relax in the sunroom or on the spacious deck as you view beautiful Smith Lake. Or, take the easy, short walk on gently sloping lot to the double slip boat house with large swim/sun deck -great place for the children to swim and adults to sit and/or soak up the sun or fish. Only a little over one mile by water from Duncan Bridge. Located in a quiet slough just a short distance from the main body with deep water. Slough is popular with fishermen.
Two bedrooms have queen beds and the third bedroom has bunk beds. There is a sofa bed in the sunroom and convertable futon bed in the living room with plenty of room for additional blow up beds if desired.
Large kitchen/dining room combination has large table that easily seats 10 and another table in sunroom with seating for 4. Fully equipped kitchen for preparing those special vacation meals for your family.
Lengthy paved driveway offers plenty of level area for parking for cars and boat trailors and with covered parking for 2 vehicles.

Nice place and location

We enjoyed our stay. The property owner was very nice and helpful. The neighbors were very friendly. The location on the lake is very convenient. Would definitely stay again.

Quiet cove off main channel

Good location. House has two queen beds a bed bed and some pullouts. Stocked with everything you need. Older house and dock. Very close to water with easy access… very few steps. Owner very responsive and helpful.

Perfect Getaway

Clean and roomy. Had everything we needed for our stay. Neighbors are friendly and were sociable, in a good way! Loved the swim dock and the boat slips suited our boat and waverunners. Wish we could have stayed longer! We will definitely be returning to this location. Only downside was the water pressure in the master shower. The main bathroom shower was fine.

Arley Day get-away

Drove from San Antonio to Arley overnight. The owner was generous with the check-in time. Much appreciated. It's a smaller property, but the interior layout really maximized the sqft. The kitchen, living room and the enclosed sun porch worked together and we had plenty of entertainment space. The deck below was the best place to watch the lake. Overall, a great home on the lake.Close to Gateway, Arley Day and Jasper.

Perfect Lake House :) 2/3/2012- 2/6/2012

My husband and I stayed three days at this lovely lake home and enjoyed it thoroughly. It was so quiet and peaceful as well as extreamly clean and organized. I loved sitting in the sunroom sipping coffee as the sun rose each morning as well as watching those beautiful Smith Lake sunsets in the evening from the deck! Oh, I miss it already! The house is cozy but also big enough for us to bring our four teenage/adult children back with us this summer. The hall bath is very spacious and has a tub/shower combo. The master bath has a large shower, big enough for two, wink, wink. There is PLENTY of seating throughout the house and table space for 10+ people. It is definitely a great place to stay- you won't be dissapointed !!

Brothers getaway

My brothers and I get together each year for some fishing and hanging out time. This was a great property for us! Definitely an upgrade from our previous tent camping trips. Property was as advertised. Plenty of room for everyone and a great location on the water. We enjoyed having the docks just out back for our boats. We all would come back again!

Kids Ramp

Our kids stayed here during the kids ramp in Hamilton. The house meet all our needs and the Host responded quickly. The kids loved swimming in the lake.

Smith Lake Happiness

This lake house was perfect and just what we needed. The large open living room and kitchen had lots of space to move around. The dock was the perfect place to fish. The area of the lake was quiet and relaxing. We loved this house and location.

Has Potential

The location of this property is wonderful! The neighborhood is very quiet - there is construction happening next door but it wasn’t disturbing. The water is deep and clean. The lot makes it easy to access the water. This property is very old and has not been kept up very well. There were multiple things in the house that just needed to be fixed. All of the sinks need the regulator replaced, water would go everywhere. The microwave was rusted on the inside. There was a light out the back door that would get stuck in the door each time you opened it. The back door barely closed when it wasn’t locked. The dock had multiple rotted out boards. One area was roped off but the boards under the ladder were rotting and dangerous. The back porch was covered in roaches as soon as the sun went down.

Why they chose this property

We love beautiful Smith Lake. I grew up here and my wife and our family have enjoyed spending time on the lake and have vacationed here for many years. Also, our house is only 10 miles from Jasper and only 2 1/2 miles from the Curry community where we have grocery stores, pharmacy, hardware store, and many restaurants. Our house is easy to get to from every direction. It is in a fantastic spot on Smith Lake.

What makes this property unique

While at the cottage, you will enjoy a gorgeous view of Smith Lake. From the front door of the house, you can walk to the water with no steps on a gently sloping lot where kids can easily play.
It is located just off the main body one mile from Duncan Bridge by water. You can enjoy boating,fishing, swimming, or just basking in the sun with the convenience of a double boat slip with a large swim/sun deck. Grill out and have a picnic on the large deck by the water and as the sun goes down, enjoy a fire lakeside in the firepit or enjoy one of those beautiful Smith Lake sunsets! Duncan Bridge Marina (pontoon rentals), shopping and restaurants are within 2-3 miles. For price, convenience, and comfort in a quiet, relaxed setting, we believe our cottage CAN'T BE BEAT!
