Although it is winter and secluded, my wife enjoyed the fact that we had easy access to local wine, our dog met Pinky a young husky on the road, the hot tub was a must, we are thinking of maybe renting on the summer to see both worlds, thanks again to the host availability

Beautiful location, beautiful weather

A very nice and cosy place with a beautiful view over a small lake. The screened in porch made for a great spot to enjoy our meals away from the bugs. Overall, a very pleasant weekend up at the lake

Very clean, extremely well equipped, wasn't missing anything. Hot tub is a little far from the nearest entrance of the house but was still a great experience at -25 degrees. Overall amazing experience

The cottage was wonderful. Perfect for two people and a dog. Just enough space. The outdoor area and the hot tub were so nice. Our dog loved the lake for swimming although for human swimming it was a little shallow. The kitchen was so well equipped with ALL the essentials and even some additional tools that made our stay amazing

Weekend getaway

The cottage is clean, beautifully located and ad all the amenities you need to properly relax. My only recommendation is to not put as much cleaning responsibility on your guests especially if you charge 130 in cleaning fees.Other than that I highly recommend staying at Niksen!

Perfect getaway

Very clean. Very Quiet. Great lakeside view. Close enough to Saint-Sauveur. Very well equiped kitchen.My pregnant wife and I stayed for a week and we loved the place! Perfect for spending quality time with your significant other. It was so nice to getaway from the city scenery.

Avons passé une semaine très reposante cet été. Chalet très bien équipé, propreté exemplaire. Distance de Montréal idéale. Extérieur : quai, véranda, équipements ( kayak, paddle, pédalo, spa ) très complet et en bon état. Balcon avec vue sur l’eau vraiment agréable. Endroit très zen et tranquille. À noter : le lac est petit.

Coin paisible et belle vue sur le lac de la partout dans la maion et de la galerie, Bien équipée dans la cuisine, salle de bain et pour les activités nautiques. Propre. Tout pour notre belle pitou : coussins, couvertures, gâteries, jouets, même la ceinture de sauvetage ! Notre seule déception est que le fond du lac est beau et stable seulement au bord de la rive d'un côté du quai. Dès qu'on a de l'eau aux genoux, on s'enfonce dans un fond mou avec algues. Il faut probablement s'éloigner au centre du lac pour nager agréablement. Pour nous, c'était moins approprié avec notre chien de 1 an 1/2 qui apprivoisait la baignade.

Concernant le lac, vous avez raison : comme plusieurs lacs naturels des Laurentides, le fond varie selon les secteurs. Près de la rive, certaines zones sont plus vaseuses, tandis qu’en s’éloignant un peu du quai, l’eau devient généralement plus propice à la baignade. Plusieurs de nos visiteurs profitent également des kayaks, du paddle ou du pédalo pour explorer le lac. Merci encore pour votre commentaire et au plaisir de vous accueillir de nouveau!
