It was a perfect spot for a weekend with my siblings! The house was clean, plenty of room and the perfect spot on Dixon Lake! The hosts were very communicative and went above and beyond!

This place was very cozy and comfortable. There was tons of room for everyone and the mattress in the master bedroom was spectacularly comfortable. We all enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub.

Sara and Alison’s home is on a deep lot with Dixon Lake frontage, a very private and quiet setting. Their home is well-stocked, very clean, and comfortable. Sara and Alison communicated with us promptly. In our opinion, it was a great value to stay there. Even though it's in the woods, WIFI was great. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

Family Vacation Week

We had a great week in the Gaylord area. Location was good, lake was clear, beach, playset, hot tub and walk into the lake approach with a raft was excellent for the kids ranging in age of 10 to 2.

Ski Trip with friends

The house was great. It had plenty of space and the hot tub is a nice bonus. The driveway was a little tough to drive on with the snow but other than that no complaints.

The house was great, we just notice some cobwebs on the floors and in the closets, but we did enjoy the house. Thank you. Would definitely recommend it. Also LOVED the Chocolate Covered Potato Chip.

Snowy Getaway

We traveled from Florida to try to give our kids some winter experiences. We were definitely bummed out to find out that Michigan was having a fairly warm winter, and there was no snow on the ground. Sara was able to give us some recommendations, and we visited Treetops Resort, which was one of the last places making snow in Gaylord. The kids were able to ski and snowboard and we had a blast. The house was great, fully equipped with everything you need. It was clean and centrally located for us. There was lots of little games for the kids to play inside the house, as well as a little outdoor play area and fire pit. My husband and I enjoyed the hot tub after a long day of skiing in the cold with the kids. I am sure that this place would be great in the summer and fall when the kids can fish and swim on the lake . All in all it was great and successful trip we would definitely come back.

Beautiful lake and cottage. Very clean and updated. I appreciate all the railing on steps. Great location with shops and restraunts. Wish we would have time to go to the Elk preserve. If we come again we will rent a boat.

Our family of 8 adults and 2 kids had the most amazing stay here for what we hope becomes our annual family vacation.The property is incredibly private, which was one of our favorite parts of the stay. We never felt like we were on top of any neighbors, making it the perfect place to truly relax and enjoy quality time together.The lake was absolutely beautiful and crystal clear, incredibly clean, and so peaceful. It was perfect for relaxing, fishing, and spending long days just staring out at the water. The private beach on the property was fantastic for all ages, and our niece completely fell in love with the playset. It kept her entertained for hours!The house itself was perfect for our large group. It was spacious, well-stocked, and had everything we needed to feel right at home. The owners were also generous enough to provide excellent kayaks, which added so much fun to our stay.Even when it rained one day, we didn’t mind at all because the covered porch was such a cozy place to gather, play games, visit, and simply enjoy being together while listening to the rain.This trip was exactly the reset we all needed. It gave our family a chance to slow down, reconnect, and make memories we’ll talk about for years. We all left saying the same thing, that we hope to come back and stay here again next year. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful place with our family!
