Garden Cottage Description
The Garden Cottage is like a private cabin in the woods situated in the slim pillars of pines—inviting, rustic yet delightfully comfortable open space that provides a sense of peace and tranquility. Cushioned sofa, an Amish Slat Mission Recliner and a vintage American Industrial Factory Cart Coffee Table with fifty-acre pasture views of playful deer and wild turkeys form a cozy living room.
It’s the twenty-foot ceiling that comfortably accommodates the massive antique 120 Drawer Hardware Store Apothecary and a serene Audubon painting above that completes the space. “It is the personal memories, sense of place and all the experiences that I will cherish forever that keep bringing us back.”

The cabin had everything we needed for a long weekend, pristine condition, comfortable furnishings, lovely location. Glenn and Kay could not have been nicer - my Dad said he'd love to move right in!
Thank you Glenn and Kay for your warm hospitality.
The trip exceeded our whole family's expectations with the beautiful surroundings, cozy cottage, great conversation, and of course delicious breakfast :) Thank you and we'll see you again soon!

The cottage was clean and tastefully appointed.
The grounds… likewise.

Amazing B&B
We stayed in the loft apartment for 4 nights. Kay made the most amazing breakfast every morning. Both Glenn and Kay were very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. We did day trips from their location and they were very helpful with what to see and do.
Perfect getaway location, accommodation, and property owners
It was such a pleasure to meet Glenn and Kay and have the opportunity to stay in their cottage. It was clean and comfortable, close to Fall fun activities, and a great size for our party of 5. Kay's breakfast was incredible- we didn't leave a crumb behind. Will definitely be back here.
The property is exactly as it looks in the pictures - very clean, comfortable, and well equipped! Glenn and Kay went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed, and provide delicious breakfast (with lots of options). They also provided us with tips about the area such as trails to hike, places to eat, etc.
Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful country inn bed and breakfast
This is a lovely country inn, set in the quintessential Vermont country setting, with wonderful views of the mountains, situated on lovely property. The rooms to rent are spacious and decorated in a cozy, tasteful, rustic manner. Glenn and Kay are very hospitable and informative on things to see and do in the area. The breakfasts are delicious and were served outdoors on their deck. I would highly recommend the Pond Mountain Inn.
I highly recommend this property. The accommodations were clean and comfortable and exactly as described in the listing. The hosts are wonderful people who made us feel at home and very welcome. Glenn’s insight about the area was spot on. Kay’s cooking was incredible. It was a great way for my wife and I to celebrate our anniversary.

Our Happy Place
We have stayed at Pond Mountain Inn several times and each time was a wonderful experience. Kay and Glenn, the hosts, went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. The loft apartment and the "barn" are both very spacious and well stocked. The breakfasts were delicious and spectacular - we didn't need lunch! We can't wait to return.
Simply - Awesome. Glenn and Kay are the perfect hosts. The nicest people you will ever meet. The property and cottage are spot on to the description in the listing. We couldn't have been more comfortable or at ease staying at Pond Mountain Inn.
Kay and Glenn were super nice. Very accommodating to breakfast needs, and gave good recommendations of places to go. Kay made some amazing Blueberry pancakes in honor of my mom that passed. And now she makes amazing red velvet pancakes with icing. Coffee was different every day, and very knowledgeable of area. Will be coming back again. I am from Maine originally, so this felt like home. Very welcoming.

Happy Place
Once again we returned to this magical place, made special by our generous and attentive hosts-become-friends, Kay and Glenn. We enjoyed a much needed rest in the quiet apartment, overlooking the snow covered mountains. We ate way too much of the delicious and generous breakfasts (my mouth is watering for the blueberry pancakes). We found plenty to do in the area, like x-country skiing and shopping, and eating dinner at The Barn. At the same time, we felt no rush to leave our beautiful surroundings. We've already booked our next stay.

Vermont Vintage Chic with so much Charm
It's difficult to put into words what our stay at Pond Mountain Inn has meant to my family. I would love to say our stay was mediocre to pretty good so we could keep this little Gem to ourselves, but that would be quite selfish & I suppose the rest of the World deserves to enjoy this piece of Vermont paradise. We came with high expectations, we needed peace, tranquility, and TLC after caring for a terminally ill Mother. All signs pointed in the direction of this Inn and in fact, my Mother definitely guided the way. We just got home from a 10 day stay and everyone is missing our hosts, Glenn & Kay and the serenity of Pond Mountain. It would require a novel to tell the story of our stay and there is not enough space here to do that. That being said, this Inn has the most amazing, meticulously spotless accommodations, super comfortable beds, the best blueberry pancakes, eggs, bacon breakfasts in the Main House. Beautiful property with an abundance of wild life...turkey, deer, hummingbirds galore! And the very best part of our stay, getting to know our hosts, Glenn & Kay. I can't say enough about this wonderfully welcoming, lovely couple who embraced my family and cared for us when we needed TLC the most. Please visit the Memorial garden they allowed me to plant in honor of my loving Mother. You will be sure to see many butterflies flocking to this special place and feel the presence of a special Angel. A slice of Heaven in Vermont! Looking forward to our next visit on Pond Mountain and once you've visited...you will want to keep it a secret from the rest of the World too... Enjoy! Hugs ~ Perri, Joe, Christian, Crouton, & Dusty.
Cottage was as described, from the beautiful wood floors and furnishings to its’ unique window trim. Super clean and comfortable. But what raised the barr on this rental that tickled my grits was the welcome reception into Kay and Glenn’s home each morning for breakfast. Kay is quite delightful and put out a breakfast each morning that was over the top. Glenn was at the ready with a welcoming coffee and great tips on everything from day trips to accessible biking routes. Would definitely spend my pension checks to stay again.
Clean and beautifully decorated cottage in a wonderful setting. Glen and Kay are great hosts, very friendly and eager to share area tips with guests. The breakfasts are delicious!
We absolutely loved this property and the owners! The property is just as described. We stayed in the cottage. It was immaculate upon arrival.
I can’t say enough good things about our hosts Glenn & Kaye. They were an absolute delight. They made us feel so welcome! And Kaye’s cooking was exceptional! She made the best breakfast for us each morning. By the time we left I felt like we were leaving friends.
This was a great rental! If you love nature, like your solitude, require immaculate lodging and enjoy having a delicious breakfast each morning with two wonderful people, this is the place to be!
Thank you Glenn and Kaye! I hope our paths cross again some time! It was so nice meeting you☺️
We had never been to Vermont before and chose Pond Mountain Inn based on feedback from previous guests. I can honestly say that this property and our hosts, Glenn and Kay, were the best that we have encountered in over 5+ years booking through VRBO. The cabin was immaculate, Kay's breakfasts were fabulous (I miss them already!), and Glenn and Kay's knowledge of available activities is extensive. They gauged our various interests during discussions and made suggestions which were right on point. Glenn and Kay do everything they can to make sure their guests enjoy their time on their property and in the area. I can't stress enough how much we enjoyed our time there - this is one trip that we intend on repeating!
We had the absolute best time at Glenn and Kay's cottage. The cottage was cozy and warm and had everything we needed. Before our trip ended, we were already discussing our next visit. Their website helped us plan our entire trip, easily and efficiently. They were extremely accommodating and friendly. Kay's breakfasts were some of the best meals we had during our stay- and we didn't have one bad thing to eat our entire stay. I don't think we'll ever stay anywhere else in Vermont, it was truly a beautiful and wonderful experience.
We arrived after a very long drive and Glen was very welcoming and hands on. The cottage was extremely clean and had everything. A full kitchen, laundry, full bath, two bedrooms. It sleeps 5 comfortably and there's plenty of room for a blow up mattress or two. It was so nice and quiet. Slept great!! Nestled into the mountains. Glenn was very informative about local restaurants and things to do. We were pleasantly surprised by the amazing breakfast his wife Kay had fixed up for us the morning we left. We will definitely be back for a visit because Glenn and Kay became instant friends.
My family had a great time staying at Pond Mountain Inn. Kay and Glenn were great hosts. They made us delicious breakfasts and made sure we had everything we needed. They gave us great recommendations for local sites and places to eat which it made it very easy for our daily planning. The cottage was very clean, spacious and comfortable. We’re looking forward to going back!!
This is by far our new favorite place to stay. It was perfect. Located in the middle of the mountains, next to a beautiful lake. Communication with the hosts was amazing and gave us all the information we needed. The house was spotless clean and very comfortable. We will definitely return.
Great weekend spent at the Cottage. Spotlessly clean property and gracious hospitality by Glenn and Kay. We went for my daughters 10th and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Girls were treated with a special trip to the neighborhood farm to feed animals and us to delicious breakfasts. We enjoyed a beautiful afternoon at Lake St. Catherine. Glenn and Kay gave us plenty of other recommendations for things to us around. A weekend well spent!

About the host
Hosted by Kay or Glenn Dunn
Our inn has become an inspiring New England destination hosting over fifteen-hundred guests since we opened in 2013. Worldwide travelers for the past thirty years, we have accumulated over five-thousand-night stays in hotels spread across five continents. This experience has informed our understanding of both Eastern and Western hospitality—and a dedication to maintaining the highest international standards for hospitality and culinary excellence.
We are one of only three inns in Vermont that consistently receive five-star reviews. Additionally, we have one of the best breakfast menus in New England and our legendary gourmet farm-to-table breakfasts are served al fresco at the Main House terrace under the rough-sawn timber frame pergola surrounded by perennial gardens, early sheep pastures and lush undisturbed distant mountain views. “It’s just magical here, and one of the prettiest outside dining spots in Vermont!”
Kay and I are honored that you have considered our inn, and we are firmly committed to creating an extraordinary stay for you and your family. Our home is truly your home—returning guests affectionately call this their second home!
Why they chose this property
We wanted to return to New England and find a traditional antique reproduction home and property with expansive views. Our home rises from a country dirt-road nestled against lush Pond Mountain with dramatic neighboring views of Northeast Mountain – beyond the great lawn the property border to the north has visible remnants of a long-standing farmers stonewall that leads to our neighbor’s beautiful pond, expansive meadows and a distant antique farm house. We almost expect to see Norman Rockwell standing next to me with his farmers’ basket of produce suitable for his next canvas.
What makes this property unique
You’ll have the most exceptional al fresco breakfast experience… Vibrant local produce, with an innovative menu and a convivial atmosphere distills the spirit of Vermont into each artfully prepared dish—each as gorgeous as the mountain views… simply unforgettable.
We are Travel Done Differently… Pond Mountain Inn offers a curated collection of ten day-trips itineraries that Vermont visitors may never experience. Authentic experiences that evoke lasting memories… One of our frequent guests once remarked, “The drive is as exciting as the destination itself…. It’s amazing what you stumble upon along the way!”
