Charming Log Cabin Apartment in Woodstock Village

Escape to one of the prettiest towns in America. Make your vacation a quiet visit in a quintessential, charming apartment close to it all. We offer a ideal vacation rental: one bedroom log home apartment in the woods within walking distance of the Woodstock village center.

The vacation rental apartment is 900 square feet and sleeps up to 4 people, 2 on a new queen sofa bed with tempurpedic mattress. There is a separate bedroom with queen bed. The full kitchen opens to the large living room with cathedral ceiling. Full size appliances include a brand new stainless steel refrigerator, stove, oven, dishwasher and both a washer and dryer. Enjoy cable, flat screen TV and wireless internet (WiFi). We do not permit smoking or pets.

The apartment is a short, 1/4-mile walk to the heart of the village. We have wonderful shops, a beautiful library, several covered bridges, many highly-rated restaurants and a National Park.

We've stayed at Bob's place before and enjoyed our stay here again. Close to all the restaurants and shops, comfortable, quiet. Bob provided sone great recommendations once again for things to do, places to go. Will definitely book again if we have the chance.

A nice quite location and a property that is well-suited to a couple's get-away. In warmer weather it would be a pleasant stroll into town (not so much after winter begins its grip on Woodstock and the Prospect Street hill).

Chillin’ in Woodstock

Very comfortable apartment over the garage with a view of the hills. Convenient to downtown Woodstock and a short drive to Quechee Gorge. Plenty of really good restaurants from which to choose. Just ask Bob! He was very helpful and easy to communicate with during our stay. Just bring food and some libations. Nothing more needed.

Log cabin in the woods of Woodstock

This log cabin garage apartment in the “Woods of Woodstock” is surrounded by a lush forest. The yard was manicured with beautiful flowers. The apartment is actually larger than the pictures indicate. It was spotlessly clean and the tempur pedic mattress was very comfortable. Bob and Sherry, the host, made sure the AC was properly cooling the apartment in the extreme heat that was occurring during my visit. I now have a new “home away from home” when I come to visit my family in Vermont.

The property was beautiful. We just had a 10 inch snowfall. The surroundings were gorgeous with the snow. Easy trip over to Killington. Great x country skiing at golf course. Would have loved to hike the trails above town. Maybe next time. Town was quaint

Very nice large property. Location is great. The owner is very responsive and helpful. We stayed to ski in Killington 20 minutes away. Town is very cute with many options to eat in or out. Bedroom is very big with decent bed. I would not recommend to sleep on a sofa couch for adults, it might be ok for kids.

Woodstock Apartment

Lovely upstairs apartment situated on a hill about a 10 minute walk to town. Wooded and garden views, peaceful environment and easy access to surrounding areas by car. Well equipped kitchen, good wifi and great cable!! Helpful local maps and magazines. We will be back!

We moved to Woodstock 43 years ago, attracted by its beauty and so many cultural and sporting opportunities in the immediate area. For a semi-rural area, we have all the entertainment a city could offer. We've worked in the hospitality industry here for 40 years and can tell you about everything, even where the best foliage is! We'd be pleased to lend advice on where to eat, what to see and what to do in town. We have children and grandchildren and we've explored it all. However, we'll be very unobtrusive if we sense you so desire. In our pseudo-retirement we also maintain other properties, play tennis and teach piano lessons. Our log home was built from the trees on our property, even the cherry railings.

Why they chose this property

Our reviews say it all. Woodstock Vermont is considered one of the most beautiful small towns in the US. The village has wonderful shops, a beautiful library, art galleries, several covered bridges, many highly-rated restaurants and a National Park. Woodstock is also “wireless” – a wifi signal covers much of the area. Woodstock is centrally located in Vermont – close to Dartmouth College, Vermont Law School and the Green Mountain Horse Association. Local ski areas include Suicide Six (10 minutes), Killington (25 minutes), Pico (25 minutes), Ascutney (30 minutes) and Okemo (35 minutes). In season, we also have some of the best cross-country/nordic skiing within the local resort and National Park. We love it here. We lived next door for 40 years and completed this new home in 2009, with the idea of renting out the apartment for others to enjoy. And we specifically had our urban-living children advise us on the layout, appliances and amenities. It is a wonderful escape.
