Super relaxing getaway but close to the beach and Monterey. My only suggestion would be for owners to get new mattresses for beds. Other than that it’s a wonderful place!

Thanks for the suggestion Liana. We've installed a new 3" topper on the master bed you slept on and tested the other beds with ourselves and various family members. We've not had complaints about the beds from other guests.

Carmel Valley Retreat was a slice of heaven. The pool is the soul of the property. Visiting Carmel and Monterey was a scenic 20 minute drive. I would rebook this property if needing a place in the area. The kitchen was well equipped.our group of 7 were very comfortable.

We had a wonderful stay over Christmas. The hosts were welcoming and communicative with nice touches like fresh flowers on the table and logs for the fireplace. We were a three generation family group of ten and had enough room. We really enjoyed the local hiking trails. The pool was too cold to swim, but we enjoyed it as a cold plunge between hot tub rounds. The landscaping is gorgeous. We had some rain/wind so did not hang out around the pool but in better weather, we would have spent a lot of our time in the yard.

Stay here if you want to have a fantastic vacation!

The house exceeded our expectations. It was well laid out, well equipped and very comfortable. The pool was very cool and the hot tub was a real plus. Carmel Valley is a beautiful and quaint town with great food, great access to hiking and a really nice vibe. We were in town for a family wedding and to a person, all our adult children said it felt like a real family vacation, and the house gets a lot of the credit.

Stunning grounds, cozy home, delightful stay

The photos dont do it justice, the pool, hot tub and garden are stunning! We had a very peaceful stay, the home is cozy and family-like with a custom feeling home. Not a single piece of IKEA furniture to be found as is typical in rental homes! The home feels like an inviting retreat. We loved our stay and would come back
