We had a lovely stay at the cottage. We were greeted by Ted and Jake, Dave’s dogs. Dave baked us an apple pie, which was so good. The cottage’s central location allowed us to drive to many of our destinations in 1-1.5 hours. It’s a perfect cottage to relax after a busy day and to enjoy the countryside and the cows. Thanks Dave for allowing us to stay.

Adare Irish Cottages is truly a gem. The thatched roof gave our cottage a lovely, authentic Irish country feel, and the setting on a 125-acre cattle farm made our stay even more special. Each day, we were greeted by two adorable Jack Russell terriers.David is a thoughtful and gracious host. He checked in with us several times to make sure we had everything we needed and generously shared his wealth of knowledge about Ireland. We are grateful for such a wonderful stay and would happily return on our next visit to Ireland.

David the host was remarkably accommodating. The facility was incredible considering it has several centuries of history. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had all the convenieces you could ask for. The property was so quiet, i had to use a white noise machine to break the silence.

The cottage was lovely! Our host, David, was great, he had the wood stove going and a warm plate of brownies for us. Very knowledgeable and helpful. I hope we can stay again! Note: there is shared laundry but the dryer took forever so we wound up not doing as much laundry as we planned.
The grounds are so peaceful, lovely paths to walk each day.
The kitchen was well stocked, we were able to cook several meals.

Will be back!

Our favorite location in Ireland BY FAR. Already planning to stay here again if/when we return to Ireland. Our kids loved the dogs and cattle, my husband and I loved the authenticity of the cottage, the high water pressure in the shower, and the quiet location.

Amazing!!

Our stay at the cottage exceeded anything we could have imagined. David, Joan and Mike were the most gracious hosts, checking on us several times to see how we were getting on. The grounds are gorgeous and so well maintained. The cottage is beautiful and storybook like. The cows grazing in the pasture was an added bonus!

Relaxing and peaceful

David was a wonderful host! And the cottage was just what we were lookling for - quiet, quaint, authentic, but with some modern amenities. Close enough to town for groceries and restaurants/pubs, but far enough away to allow for peaceful evenings at home when we wanted. Would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!

Magical!

The grounds are breathtaking. The host and their two dogs were wonderful. This is a very old cottage and needs some updating like new furniture and mattresses. The beds are not comfortable, but our stay was magical! The area, the garden and the people made this a wonderful family vacation that we will remember forever!

Lovely 300 year old cottage with modern amenities. VERY quiet, set back far off the road surrounded by farm fields. One can imagine what life was like many generations ago. David, the host, is very personable and friendly. The village of Adare is just 10 minutes away. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we would definitely return.
