I've stayed in Guerneville probably a dozen times over the years - always on the river. This was a nice change of pace, with a home among the redwoods. In all my travels, probably the best-stocked kitchen (in terms of appliances, utensils, etc.) I'd ever seen. I was with a group of friends and this layout allowed folks to have their own space, yet we all felt very connected. We spent most of our time on the patio, which has comfortable outdoor furniture, a pool (heated for an extra fee), and hot tub. We didn't partake of the sauna, but there's one out there as well. It's closer to nearby homes than we expected, but it was quiet and comfortable, with no neighbor issues. Communication with the owners was easy and efficient, as was check in/out. Recommend if you're looking for an upscale, high-quality home in Guerneville.
This is the perfect place to stay if you’re looking for a relaxing and quiet place to retreat from the city. The owners were super quick to respond to our messages and offered many suggestions on local activities and restaurants! Next time we’re looking for a place to in Guerneville… this will be it!
Jonathan and Adrian were lovely hosts. Easy arrival, fun entertaining home, perfect for a girls getaway.
Bonus was the heated floors- they were such a luxe touch.
Would absolutely book this home again. Thank you for such a fun time!
We had an absolute blast at Sundance for my 40th birthday celebrations! Every detail was thought of...amazing kitchen for cooking large meals; multiple places to eat, drink, and chill; spacious bedrooms, both in the main house and the annex. Perfect for a group of friends or a family!
My friends and I had a great time wine tasting for my birthday. This house was perfect for our group - there are large and comfortable common spaces to hang in, fun board games supplied, and an immaculately appointed kitchen where three of us could work together and cook breakfast without getting in each other’s way. The yard and decks are lovely. We wanted an extra day to just enjoy this beautiful property. We’ll definitely be back!
For our 50th we decided we should do something special. Sundance was the perfect fit. Ample space for our 2 kids, their partners, and the 2 grandsons. I came to The River as a kid in the 50's and 60's. The sense of relaxation flooded back. We adventured during the day and came back to cook, laugh, and play together. We kayaked in the estuary at Jenner, swam the River, played Pee Wee golf, and went to Occidental to eat out. Going back to Armstrong Park to stroll in the shelter of the real giants of the Redwoods was deeply soothing. I loved renewing the ritual of swinging into Safeway after our outings to pick up a few things. And Guerneville has an even more festive aura now with all the eateries, watering holes, art galleries, and shops with smiles of welcome for all. Very inclusive. We can't thank Jonathan and Adrian enough for the comfortable "digs" that made our wonderful week possible. Oh, and all three fun jigsaw puzzles have every single piece!

About the host
Hosted by Jonathan and Adrian
Hi, this is Adrian and Jonathan. We are a married couple of twenty years living in San Francisco. We are pleased to offer this newly renovated home in Guerneville for guests to enjoy the Russian River area. Residents and visitors here enjoy the peace and tranquility of the natural rainforest. We hope this will be a place of relaxation and rejuvenation for your entire stay.
Why they chose this property
The home is nestled in a quiet community on a large elevated rainforest with lots of Redwoods, Douglas Fir trees, and Ferns and an open view of the valley. It is a 7 minute walk to the nearest Russian River Access, an easy 20 minute walk over the pedestrian bridge to Guerneville center and Johnson's Beach, and a 5 minute drive to Guerneville Safeway Supermarket. We love this neighborhood both for its forest feel (that feels remote), and its convenience / proximity to the town center and local beach.
What makes this property unique
It feels secluded, remote, and you are immersed and nestled among giant red woods, and there is a lot of space for you and your party to stretch out, and you are just a 15-20 min walk away from local attractions / amenities.
