Experience pure relaxation within the enchanting shelter of a 320 SF Glamping Tent, nestled just a stone's throw from the tranquil waters of the Red River. The Dancing Deer beckons with its fully furnished sanctuary, boasting a king-sized bed, twin trundle bed, smart TV, fan, AC unit, coffee station, minifridge, microwave, internet access, firepit, grill, access to a bath house and an array of amenities. Despite the 10-minute drive to shops and restaurants, the area exudes a sense of serene seclusion.
Welcome to our enchanting glamping experience, where nature meets comfort in a unique canvas setting. As stewards of the great outdoors, we want you to fully immerse yourself in the beauty of crisp nights and starlit skies. Great place to relax with free wifi and fire wood.
This is an excellent location if you’re looking for a primitive vibe with the modern amenities of electricity and available bathhouse on site. The stars were amazing having the light pollution of the city far away, very comfortable and excellent location close to everything Red River Gorge has to offer. My family loved it.

Thank you for the fantastic review! We're so glad to hear you enjoyed the perfect mix of a primitive vibe with modern comforts, and that the stars and peaceful location added to your experience. It’s wonderful to know your family loved it, and we’d be thrilled to host you again for more Red River Gorge adventures!
Amazing and unique property! Teepee was beautiful inside and out! Stayed 2 nights. Teepee was like camping, but with a bed, tv and small kitchen. Even with a heater, was a little cold our 2 nights, so come prepared! Will absolutely stay again!

Thank you for your fantastic review! We're thrilled to hear that you found our teepee to be an amazing and unique property. It's wonderful that you enjoyed the beautiful interior and exterior during your two-night stay.
We enjoyed our stay. We had an issue at the very end with water coming in through and had to leave early. But the property manager did message us even though it was the middle of the night and offered us a free night

We always strive to make things right for our guests, even in unexpected situations. We’d love to host you again in the future and ensure a seamless experience!
We had a great time staying in our tipi. It was super clean and cute! I read other reviews and (although they do have a heated blanket in addition to regular blankets) I was glad I brought an extra quilt from home. It was a frosty night. Other folks had their fires going - my only regret is that I wish we’d brought firewood! :)

I meant to submit this as soon as we arrived home, however a week flashed by before I had the time. That being said, my family and I stayed at the end of July in the Glampsite Tents newly installed this spring of 2025. My family and I loved how roomie they were.
It was our first time glamping, and it was better than we expected. The beds were comfortable, the lighting excellent, even the wifi connection was outstanding...stretching all the way to the parking lot. The bathhouse was clean and well stocked. Our hosts even left waters, gingerale, and some nutrigrain bars in the mini fridge for our arrival.
Daniel, our host, always messaged back immediately and courteously no matter the time. He even provided some good information for our first time visit to Red River Gorge area as well as firewood and doggie bags. We truly appreciated his feedback and help.
Sadly, our weekend was rather wet and rainy, however I can honestly say the tent held up wonderfully and didn't leak at all. And it poured down rain....I mean truly poured so much that we almost considered leaving due to the rising river. Luckily, we were able to finish our stay and remain dry.
My only warning to any new comers would be to pay close attention to the road driving in to Destination U property. It was rather tight and curvy, but beautiful and well worth the trip.
My family and I have agreed that the next time we head down there we will definitely rent from them again! The rates were fair, they were pet

Long night
Originally booked here bc it was “heated” i expected it to be a little cold and honestly would have been ok with the heat o my keeping up with 50-60s but the space heater did zero. I would have rather had a better heater and no TV. Also, they knew I was traveling with young kids, knowing that they should have turned the heater on before arriving to knock some of the chill out. The view which was the second reason i booked was obscured by the bathroom which i applaud them for having but its in the very center of everything. Made the gorgeous look of the property not very appealing upon arrival. Signs that direct people in would also be helpful. To look at a video on YouTube sounds great until there is limited reception. I ended up making a right at the boulder and traveling 3 miles out of the way on a road that frankly should only be used by 4 wheelers. My kids were scared. It was a crappy start to the stay. It was so cold in the tent that the creamer was frozen solid the next morning. Even with heated blankets, it wasn’t great.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We sincerely apologize for the inconveniences you experienced during your stay. Your comments are invaluable to us as they help us to continually improve our guest experience.
We regret that the space heater provided did not meet your expectations. It was February, and the listing does note that the teepee is not insulated. The experience is a true glamping experience.
Regarding directions to the property, we acknowledge the challenges you faced, especially with limited reception. We may need to send a reminder to view the videos prior to arrival. We will explore additional signage options also to ensure a smoother and stress-free arrival for our guests in the future.
Once again, we apologize for the less-than-ideal start to your stay. We genuinely appreciate your feedback and hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for a more enjoyable experience in the future.
We really appreciate your 5-star review! It was a pleasure hosting you, and we’re so glad you had a great experience. Your kind words mean a lot to us—we’d be happy to welcome you back anytime!
