The lofted king master suite with en-suite bath on upper level and a queen bedroom on the main floor. Also a quiet den with a private and comfortable full sized futon and TV on the lower level . 2 full baths, one on the main floor plus the bath en-suite to the 2nd floor master.
Fully equipped chef's kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a view to woodlands for the chef to enjoy. The living room has a cozy gas fireplace, flat-screen TV and lots of comfy seating and open floor plan.
Dining table with seating for 6+, plus (seasonal) deck dining for 6.
An elegant spiral staircase leads to the loft style master suite with custom made live edge cherry king bed and spa-like en-suite bath.
The main floor bedroom has a pretty queen sleigh bed; main floor full bath is adjacent.

This was a memorable and fun filled trip. The falcon house chalet is lovely. You can tell the things inside were carefully curated, and the surrounding woods, Finnish sauna, babbling brook made it so comfortable, we didn't want to leave. We made good use of the bikes and enjoyed many activities nearby. We highly recommend falcon house for a chill Vermont vacation. Kat, the host was lovely, made sure we had all we needed and she was in contact via text in case we had questions.

Kat and Matt are gracious and attentive hosts. They went out of their way to make sure the driveway was plowed and the walkways shoveled. The lovely chalet is cozy yet spacious. I especially loved the gas fireplace! The kitchen is well appointed, everything you need. Great home in any season, highly recommended. Wonderful vacation retreat

This vacation rental is a great home away from home. The kitchen has every appliance and cookware needed to make a gourmet dinner or just a nice lunch. The living area furniture is comfortable, and there is nothing like sitting in front of the gas fireplace on a cool evening. The mattress on the king in the master bedroom is the most comfortable I've slept on in a long time. This is one of the nicest places we've stayed in and we've rented a lot of condos. The only thing we didn't like, and it was spelled out in the description that I didn't read, is that the master is on the loft that is accessed by a spiral staircase. Other than that, it was perfect and I would recommend staying there.

Five Star Plus!!!

Honestly, this is one of the nicest properties we’ve ever rented. Here are the highlights… 1. The custom built cabin is a work of art. The enclose spiral staircase is constructed with wooden pegs instead of nails or screws. It’s actually fun to go upstairs and downstairs. The layout is perfect and the two bedrooms are very comfortable and private…great for we two couples in our seventies who frequently travel together. The beds are comortable and the bathrooms spacious. The kitchen is large. 2. The cabin is well appointed. Everything is “top shelf” from the kitchen appliances, to the cutlery and dish ware, to the art on the walls. It seems more like someone’s home than a rental property. The many things such as bicycles, etc. that are advertised are actually there for one’s use. 3. The location is wonderful. It’s close to the quaint village of Woodstock yet tucked away in the woods and on the lovely river, affording much privacy. It’s rare to find these two attributes together. 4. The owners, Kat and Matt, are “hands on” hosts. Kat personally showed up within minutes to address some minor issues (a smoke alarm needing a battery and a brief power outage.). And when she showed up, there was something about her that made you feel comfortable, as though you had known her for some time…the kind of person you’d like to have for a friend. The guide for guests Kat and Matt constructed should be used as a template for other VRBO properties…it almost looked professionally constructed…very helpful All in all, we had a wonderful 5 nights at this lovely cabin. The only negative I can think of is that this rental was so good, that other places we’ll stay in the future will be hard pressed to live up to this one. Thank you, Kat and Matt, for giving us this wonderful experience. Phil & Mary (and Cliff & Beth).

Great Vacay at Falcon House

Loved the house and property! Everything we could have wanted and then some. Used to want a hot tub at our 2nd home but now I think we want a sauna. Loved cooking with the cast iron and also enjoyed that there was a crock pot to utilize for the day we went to Silver Lake to go fishing (a catfish was the best catch of the day). The grill was awesome. Everything well maintained. Beds and pillows comfortable. Loved having the windows open overnight and hearing the running water. That was my fave! Well that and the Sauna. So much to like here. Was a great time away from home and a solid Vermont getaway. Refreshing!

Absolutely Perfect

Falcon House was absolutely perfect for our Vermont getaway! The online property guide was spot on accurate and provided everything we needed to get prepared to come (and this basically entailed us only needing to bring clothing and hiking shoes)! The photos are all accurate but didn't describe just how at home the set up is. Kat & Matt have everything arranged in a way that enables relaxation; this includes the furniture layout, the really cozy couch by the fire, and the bedrooms that have beds and beddings that enable a fantastic nights sleep. On the clear nights we could see the stars from the loft bedroom right before we slept; something not possible in PA. We love hiking and were very pleased with the vast trails right outside the door that traversed the mountain and many babbling streams indicative of spring in Vermont! We warmed ourselves by the outside firepit and saw many shooting stars without any effort. The Sauna outside (& many thanks for the spa robes) was an added feature that warmed us up after the cold hikes early in the stay. We highly recommend this location when heading to Woodstock VT!

What a lovely property, nestled in the woods with a stream just outside the pack door. Everything about the listing was just as described. Kat was a wonderful host, very responsive when I reached out- both prior to our trip and during our stay. Gorgeous Getaway, close to everything

We had a lovely week at this house for our anniversary. Everything was clean and easy to find! There was plenty of firewood to use and plenty of property to explore on the trails. It was a short distance to Woodstock center as well. There was more traffic on this road than I was anticipating and the trash guy came to collect the trash at the house unexpectedly around 6pm on a Wednesday, but other than that this house was a great escape.

Falcon House is a special place. From an original design by famed architect Myron Goldfinger, this home has some truly unique design features and is incredibly well constructed. From the hand made Mexican ceramic tile floors (look for the chicken tracks) to the hand pegged spiral staircase, the house design is amazing. It's so close to the village but really feels away from it all. You'll find everything you need to make yourself at home, we find we have many guests who enjoy our properties so much they return year after year.
