We loved the property! It was a fun family weekend. The home is beautiful. We loved the screeed in porch and backyard space. We could not find any containers for leftovers. If you plan on cooking I would bring some with you.

Beautiful property. Literal Paradise

I booked this house to accommodate my family flying in and to relax before my wedding! It was an easy drive to my venue at The Barn at Paradise place, definitely convenient and would recommend!

Adorable and peaceful farmhouse

We used this property as a working retreat for our non-profit's board of directors. It was beautiful and quiet which was everything we needed. I look forward to going back with my family in the future!

the perfect escape

As locals looking to get away from it all and spend quality time with family, th is the perfect place to escape everyday life. time stands still here. the pond is perfect fishing for all ages. everything from the enclosed porch to the claw foot tub in the master bedroom made it possible to forget the rest of the world, even if for just a few days.

BEAUTIFUL PERFECT VACATION HOME!

My husband and I hosted our wedding (intimate gathering, 12 of us) at this home, and let me just say this was by far the best decision we made! The home was so beautiful, both in decor and location. It was clean, and honestly, perfect. The large space was beautiful for spending time outside, going for a walk, and relaxing. We would LOVE to come and stay at this home in the future, and I cannot rate the hosts highly enough! Communication was prompt, instructions were thorough, and they were so kind, even leaving us a congratulations note on our wedding❤️

We recently stayed at this VRBO property and overall had a positive experience. The space was perfect for our needs, offering a comfortable layout that worked well for our group. One of the highlights was the beautiful outdoor area, which provided a relaxing setting to unwind and spend time together.The beds were comfortable, and we slept well during our stay, which is always nice when traveling.That said, there were a few areas that could be improved. The cleanliness upon arrival could have been better, as some areas did not feel as thoroughly cleaned as expected. Additionally, the property was lacking in basic supplies. We would have appreciated extra toilet paper, paper towels, laundry soap, dishwasher detergent, and trash bags, especially for 10 people staying longer than a couple of days.With a bit more attention to cleanliness and better stocking of essential supplies, this property could easily provide an even better guest experience.

Perfect Stay

I was so excited to find this home to stay in during a family holiday weekend. My sister lives right around the corner so I was familiar with the rural setting and thrilled that there was a home so close to her rather than having to stay in Decatur. One amenity that we didn’t use but will keep in mind for future visits is that this home is handicap friendly with the exception of a downstairs shower. The first level is all floor, no bumps or awkward transitions and there is a small half bath accessible on that level. The room behind the kitchen would be a good location for someone with mobility issues. The home was so cute and comfortable. I would like to have had a dresser available to use in the bedroom but there was ample closet space so I was able to use that instead. The outdoor spaces are beautiful. I wish we had been able to stay more than a few days.

Great location for a wedding weekend at the Barn at Paradise! Clean, spacious! Owner very welcoming. We were able to fish ponds, play horse shoes and basketball. Highly recommended

This was a lovely property with a pastoral landscape of pretty trees, ponds, cows, birds singing etc. The location was great for us as we had a wedding at Barn at Paradise Place and it was 10 minutes from there. The owner kindly let us have a later check out and tried to accommodate an earlier check in though it ended up being rented the night before and that didn't work out. The kitchen has been updated and is great. Other parts of the home have not been loved well or maintained well. The screen porch has broken screens, bathrooms had stains of mildew in the tile, cabinetry in guest bathroom was water damaged. There were quite a few spiders and the place needs regular exterminating. The downstairs bedroom is separated from the kitchen only by a curtain and the bathroom was only a half bath. The toilet paper holder in there was falling off the wall. Bedrooms were very sparsely appointed, but the master bathroom had a great clawfoot tub in it. It's a special place that needs more TLC.
