We loved this house! Beautiful property, super quiet. Well furnished and all on one level, so if you have mobility struggles, this house is perfect! The host is gracious and great with communication. Definitely recommend!
The house was clean, comfortable, and was in an excellent location for our needs. The kitchen was well appointed with all the necessities and then some... they had an ice cream machine. I wish it had been cooler temps so that we could have used the wood stove. But the screened in sun porch was a nice consolation. My wife especially liked the basket of fuzzy blankets that were available. Bruce was a fantastic host and we'd stay here again.
Great place, very clean and well kept.Room to park out front to load/unload. Stop at Ingles grocery store before as there are no convenient stores except for the Chevron Mart at 106/246. Plenty of driveway parking. Would stay here again. One general comment about the area is that you will lose cell service for navigating so I’d advise printing a map of the Sky Valley area with visible street names. Streets are identified with street signs. Once you are familiar with the layout of the area you will be fine. Thanks Bruce!
This was by far the most thoughtfully stocked cabin we’ve ever stayed in. The owners truly thought of everything—from a pizza waiting for us in case we arrived late to plenty of paper products, soaps, fluffy towels, a towel warmer, and every kitchen utensil and serving piece we could possibly need. The Keurig was even stocked with several coffees, hot cocoa, and apple cider. Unlike most rentals that provide a small “starter supply,” there was more than enough of everything for our entire stay. The cabin itself was bright and welcoming, with wonderful natural light from the skylights. We especially loved the beautiful screened four-season porch. The location was convenient for antique shopping or grabbing a bite to eat. It was obvious that a great deal of thought went into making guests comfortable, and we would absolutely stay here again!

We had a lovely time staying here. The house was well equipped, from kitchen to games for all ages. The back porch was fantastic to enjoy morning coffee before exploring the beautiful area, we had a great time!

We are so glad that you had a good time and enjoyed your stay. We would be happy to host you and your yorkie-poo anytime!
Wonderful one story property! Couldn’t have been more accurate or easy to work with, Bruce and the property manager were both fantastic answering questions and assisting us! The Franklin stove keeps the house toasty and house is well stocked.
All four adults and two children thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Sky Valley and this most comfortable home. From the well stocked kitchen to the superior bedding and towels, it had the guests commenting on the high quality of amenities, especially the spa tub and towel warmer. I would recommend this place to anyone heading to the area and the screened in solarium would be fabulous in spring and summer.

We are so glad you had a great family getaway. Thank you for your kind review. We’d love to have you come back!
Mountain Laurel Hideaway is a wonderful and comfortable home in a beautiful location. During our two-week stay we spent many hours sitting in the sunroom among the tree tops enjoying the fall views and colors. We were delighted with the thoughtful extras in the kitchen and bathrooms. Communication with the host was excellent, always prompt and helpful. I imagine spring is a beautiful time to visit as well since the front of the property is lined with mountain laurel and hydrangeas. Hopefully, we can return to Mountain Laurel Hideaway one day for another relaxing vacation.
Loved our stay. The owners were amazing and so helpful. Gave so many great recommendations for dinner and things to do. House was so nice and open. We loved the porch to drink our coffee in the morning. A great area with many things to see. I highly recommend eating at Julep Farms and Fortyfi. If in the area again would stay here.

This place is amazing. Clean and open floor plan. Great sun room off the back is warm and cozy even in chilly weather. Very nice and efficient wood stove. There was even a decorated Christmas tree set up. Can’t say enough about this place. Would definitely recommend and will be back!
This house had every amenity we could ever need. Extremely clean and very comfortable. Our host was so accessible and helpful. This was our first visit to Sky Valley. What a lovely community and great golf course. Thank you for allowing us to experience it.

We are so happy to hear you enjoyed your stay. We loved seeing photos of Cali exploring the area. We look forward to hosting you again soon.
This is such a beautiful and comfortable property. The kitchen is well stocked, the beds are perfect and the porches both front and back give you two fabulous experiences. The layout of the home allows everyone their own space and the home is well taken care of and immaculate. The owners are friendly and easy to communicate with. We just had a great time and can't wait to go back. Also enjoyed the notebook with a complete run down on where to go for waterfalls, hikes and dining. I can't say enough! Great week.
This home was the cleanest rental we have ever stayed in. The owners have great attention to details. The decor and small extra touches they have added to make your stay more comfortable is perfect! The beds were super comfortable and the place was so quiet and peaceful. I can not say enough good things about everything this house has to offer. The kitchen was very well stocked along with 3 bedrooms and 2 large bathrooms. It was perfect for our family! The Highlands was the cutest little town and we enjoyed our visit very much. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a comfortable rental house.

We are so happy you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for the kind review. We are look forward to hosting you in the future.
This property is conveniently located, quiet (except for the sound of a gentle waterfall) with gorgeous surroundings. It has a back porch which is so comfortable and relaxing and a front porch which features a firetable and party lights. The kitchen is great; well equipped and the main part of the house has an open plan; two master suites with large bathrooms and a third, which allows everyone to spread out. Wifi works very well. eThe host, Bruce is attentive and accommodating and quick to respond with any needs. He and his wife are also friendly and welcoming. It's a great place to stay. In fact, we've stayed there four times!!!! I can't recommend it highly enough.
My son and I came up to spend Thanksgiving with friends and family. The only issue I really had was the heat unit kept going back to 68 degrees randomly. The lighting is not great and we couldn’t find and dish rags or drying towels for the dishes. There were plenty of paper towels but that’s very wasteful.
Overall we enjoyed our stay. The place is up in the mountains but that’s exactly what we wanted.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay at Mountain Laurel Hideaway. I’m sorry to hear you had trouble finding the dish towels. I wish you had reached out as there are 4-5 towels in the kitchen drawer and I would have happily helped you find them. Likewise we would have been happy to help you set the thermostat to your liking. Enjoy your holidays.
Just wow! This place is wonderful. Easy to get from parking into the house. No stairs! Very comfortable furniture. Excellent beds/mattresses. We were thrilled to find lovely seasonal decor (a Christmas tree!) The wood-burning stove provided a great way to get cozy and enjoy the decorations and atmosphere (logs provided by host!) The bathrooms, including a deep tub with jets, were divine. Well-organized kitchen with everything we needed to cook meals. And the whole place was absolutely spotless. That’s not an exaggeration. We didn’t see a single spot of dust. Highly recommend! Don’t hesitate to book this one!
