Everything was as described, very easy to rent and great communication with the owner. Highly recommend for a lovely peaceful stay in the Finger Lakes.
The view of the lake is unparalleled. The cottage is beautiful and nostalgic, has a retro cape cod vibe. Owner is friendly and responds quickly to any questions. The perfect finger lakes vacation. Plan to return every year.
We had the absolute best time here! This is now our 3rd time staying at this property, and plan to come back each summer. Bonnie is a fantastic host, very responsive and accommodating. The property itself is gorgeous with amazing sunsets and great fishing!!

It was a nice property and we had good communication with the host. Overall, we had a pleasant stay at the property. However, we felt that the cleaning could have been more thorough before our check-in. A few areas could benefit from extra attention to ensure a perfect experience for future guests.
The location of this cabin is absolutely beautiful, probably one of the best views of sunset. The cabin itself needs a thorough deep cleaning, there were a lot of cobwebs inside the cabin. Things like the windows, chandelier and doors all need a good scrubbing. The bathroom shower is very tiny, I would not suggest anyone who is plus sized shower here, the shower floor is soft and feels like you may fall through. If you have a fear of spiders this is not the cottage for you, there were very large spiders INSIDE and outside the cottage.
A pleasant, almost nostalgic two-day stay. Reminded me of the cottages of the lake vacations of my childhood - but with internet (which worked well), nicer plates, mugs and glasses, and a better refrigerator. The best thing: the cottage is surrounded on two sides by water with large windows to admire the view. Neighbors were quiet. Unfortunately, at least one window screen was broken allowing bugs into the house making sleep difficult. Two of the three bedrooms have a window air conditioner, but they were a bit noisy.
We came to the finger lakes for a little get away. We love the Cayuga region because of the wineries, the town of Aurora and Mackenzie Childs studio. This little lake side cottage is very close to all of these things. It is a quaint, quiet little cottage that was perfect for our stay.
The whole family was charmed by this cute vintage and comfortable little cottage by the lake Cayuga ! Our stay was wonderful from dusk till dawn and vice versa till the amazing sunsets ! Bonnie was a great owner to communicate with.
This cottage was the sweetest little lakeside gem. The beds were super comfortable and the kitchen has cottage-core charm. We had everything we needed to grill, relax on the hammock and enjoy ourselves on the water. My family loved being on the water, soft towels and wide selection of DVDs/CDs. Everything was clean & cozy. We can’t wait to come back!
This property was quiet, easy to get to, and convenient for our family of 5. We have a boat and drove straight across the lake to a great marina/restaurant one night, hung out in a cove with a bunch of other boats and kids our’s played and swam with one sunny day, swam off the dock, and traveled quickly to local town of Union Springs for anything we needed including boat launch and a few local wineries. Thank you Bonnie for your great communication!
spent4 nights with another couple who we travel with.. Had a wonderful time. Kayaked, rented a pontoon boat for a day... Thank You Fingerlake boat rental,, awesome. Such nice people. Great view, good bbq. Wanted for nothing.. If Dougs Fish Fry is in the area, go fot it
Quaint " cottage" on a corner lakeside cove..( water on two sides)..Rented a boat.caught slot of fish.and had fun putting around the lake( and stopping at Wolfy's across the lake for lunch and cold beer)..enjoyed the fire pit, and sunsets...we also did great day trips ..the cottage is very close to wine tasting, Auburn ( Harriet Tubman's house tour )and Seneca Falls and other small towns ,saw a great band at The Wheelhouse restaurant right up the road....had lots of fun!!!
Stayed for 3-nights to celebrate my mom’s 81st birthday. My 15 year old son came too. Enjoyed the rustic fishing cottage and property but we also were elsewhere visiting family during our trip. There were many spiders which I tried my best to shuttle outside. Each room has individual a/c which is necessary in summer heat. Saw many birds including a Blue Heron in early morning. My son caught a couple perch fishing.
This is a great summer low key fishing/water edge access property.
we left earlier then scheduled
we couldn’t spend the evening outside because of the bugs (no bugs trumps )
Most of the windows were missing nets so couldn’t open windows We were not able to have a good night sleep as the beds were not comfortable And the AC were to noise
And when I asked the owner to reimburse me for one night, she then start threatening me that she will take more money

Cayuga cottage
The cottage on this property is in very poor condition. The location of the property is at the end of a 3/8 mile long, one lane, dead end gravel road with several other cottages on it. There is NO room to turn a truck and boat around, fortunately the neighbor was kind enough to let us use there property. There is no dock on this property, which the host informed me of before our visit. All appliances/amenities were in good working condition.
It was a very sweet property! The sunsets were amazing and weather was perfect.
The property had everything that we needed :)
