We really enjoyed our stay at Holcombe Haven! This was our second year coming back, which says a lot about how much we like it. The cabin is comfortable, the view of the lake is beautiful, and the neighboring guests were friendly and respectful. It’s also just a short walk down to the wayside, making it easy to enjoy swimming and the lake.Overall, we had another great experience and would definitely consider staying here again. One small tip for future guests: if you prefer a dark room for sleeping, consider bringing temporary window coverings or a sleep mask, as the blinds don’t completely cover the windows.

Great cabin getaway on the lake!

Nice little cabin, access to Lake Holcombe and just a minute walk to public swimming area. Covered patio area with grill and tables/chairs. Relaxing getaway, property is well maintained and neighbors are really nice. Will be a repeat customer.

The outside is nice, the inside is absolutely horrible, I have never seen such a small bathroom in my life, even a small child would have trouble maneuvering in it, I would not of even paid 50 a night, THIS IS VERY OLD

We’re disappointed to read this review, particularly given the amount of assistance we provided before and during your stay...which was a lot! This is a traditional 1950s lake cabin, and we make no attempt to represent it as something it is not. The interior, bathroom, and overall character of the cabin are shown in the photos on our VRBO listing. The bathroom is small, which is not unusual for a cabin of this age. There was considerable confusion during the booking process, including duplicate reservations being made using different email addresses, and we spent time helping get those issues resolved. During your stay, we also went out of our way to assist with getting your boats in and out of the water and helping with other needs. We were happy to do so. We understand that a traditional lake cabin isn't the right fit for everyone. However, we believe our guests should review the listing and photos before booking, and we stand behind the fact that the cabin is accurately represented. We wish your concerns had been brought to our attention during your stay so we could have addressed them at the time.
