River Swimming - Minutes to Storyland, Attitash, Wildcat - Large deck - Pets OK

This pet friendly chalet on a nicely wooded lot is on a quiet road across from the Flat Rocks Conservation Area and the East Branch Saco river. You can hang out on the large deck listening to the sounds of the river. For warm days, there’s a great swim hole 100 yards away (see the river pictures below). When you're ready to head out, North Conway Village and Jackson Village with their shopping and restaurants are both just 5 minutes away. For winter getaways, we're just minutes from the skiing at Attitash, Wildcat, Cranmore, and Black mountains. There is snowmobile trail access at the end of our road. We are open to winter seasonal rentals.

With 4 bedrooms and 6 beds we can accommodate up to 9 guests comfortably. There's a large dining room table and well equipped kitchen for cooking in and great restaurants nearby if you want to eat out. If the weather is cool or you're just looking for some extra ambiance the fireplace (firewood included) may be just the thing.

The home and location are well suited to families and quiet groups looking to enjoy the beauty and numerous activities available in the Mount Washington Valley. There is a small sloped side yard but it’s a rough surface so kids will find better areas to play in the conservation area across the street and along the river. Note there is a full set of exterior stairs to the first level of the home and the living area is on the second level.

We want your stay to be as relaxing as possible so the rental includes all linens and basic supplies (paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap). For your entertainment and information needs, there is free WiFi and TVs all have access to several streaming options. There is also a small DVD collection. An Amazon Echo (Alexa) gives access to Amazon Music Unlimited, radio stations and a wealth of information...just ask her.

A slice of heaven!!

Best location in the area. Plenty of space, nice rooms, kitchen looks small but there is plenty of space. Great place to experience the White Mountains.

Winter Adventures - Prime Location

It was a great central location for winter adventures, specifically ice climbing, skiing, and hiking. Comfy, reclining couch for unwinding at the end of the day, plus a tv in every bedroom. Kitchen was well-stocked with dishes, cooking pans, etc. Board/card games and books galore for rainy days - even found duplos for my toddler.

The house was on a quiet country road right next to the Saco river we went to Maine and Vermont each less than two hours drive but just relaxing on the deck was perfect! The host was very communicative and thankfully gave the last step directions since our GPS got us lost the foliage was amazing!!

If visiting No. Conway and the Mt Washington Valley

This listing is great location for visiting No. Conway and the Mt Washington Valley. Many great sites to visit for both adults and children. Restaurants, shops, and the natural beauty of the White Mountains is just a few minutes away. The river with a super nice swimming hole within walking distance is an added bonus. The visiting wildlife is also exhilarating. We had a great time.

Loved our time here - Wish we planned a longer stay!

This home was perfect, and more than enough for our family of 5. It was quiet, and had everything we needed for a very comfortable stary The location was amazing, you can hear the river from the house, which made for the most tranquil cup coffee on one of the 2 decks in the morning We had so much fun at the river swimming and relaxing and we're pleased they had floaties to borrow as we didn't being any! We enjoyed local food, tons to choose from with on 20 minute drive We spent a day at story Land which is only 10 minute drive I would highly recommend this home for a family vacation in the mountains of New Hampshire We can not wait to come back next year

Fantastic!

We really enjoyed out stay; the hosts were so thorough in their preparations for guests! We've rented many places over the years, and appreciated the effort the hosts of this rental put into making the accommodation comfortable for their tenants. They provided all of the essentials: linens, paper towels, garbage bags, etc. The house was very comfortable with both an air conditioner and dehumidifier available. Their description of the property is very accurate; there are a lot of stairs to climb to gain access to the house, which could be an issue for some or in icy conditions. The swimming hole across from the property was a huge hit, and the hosts even provided beach chairs and swimming tubes! Kudos to the owners for making our stay so pleasant!

Location is great and listing is accurate. The host has lots of thoughtful touches from tubes for the river to a Wii Nintendo game for the kids. Wonderful that it’s pet friendly and sleeping arrangements are very family friendly. Unfortunately the cleanliness and maintenance is majorly lacking for this older home. Upon entering the house there’s a strong moldy, musty damp odor. There’s a very old dehumidifier, occasionally it would rumble awake but for the most part was not running and no apparent tank to empty? There are several cans of Fevreeze which helped mask it temporarily. We moved one of the beds against the wall for my toddler to sleep to prevent him from rolling out and there’s visible mold on the walls and a smear of blood (see photo below). Upstairs the carpet smells strongly of pet urine. We did not contact the host for anything because we simply used it as a place to sleep and there wasn’t much they could’ve done to remedy these issues while we were there. There was also several huge wolf spiders outside in the eaves (and a couple inside). This old home needs some loving TLC and maintenance. The subfloor boards are rotting underneath as you can feel soft parts of the floor as you walk. I felt the need to mention these things in honestly because if you have Asthma the smells would be problematic. If these things don’t bother you then it’s a great accommodation for a family with pets looking to be close to the river.

Fun family getaway

This house was just as described and quite comfortable. Three bedrooms on the main floor, kitchen and living room and fourth bedroom on second floor. Communication with Rick was easy, and he was very obliging. I would recommend this house to future renters. We had a great time.
