Welcome to your Northwoods getaway! The Birchwood Retreat on Little St. Germain is in the perfect location for relaxation as well as adventure. This private cabin is less than 2 miles from downtown St. Germain, 20 minutes from Minoqua or Eagle River and 30 minutes from Boulder Junction. Restaurants, shopping, laser tag, mini golf, go carts, and horseback riding are just a short drive away. Access to hiking, biking, snowmobile and UTV trails is quick and easy.

Cozy winter stay

Despite the extreme cold, we stayed warm and cozy at the Birchwood Retreat, which had everything we needed for our visit. The host communicated well and was very helpful. We enjoyed our stay at the property.

Great fishing cabin

My husband and three boys stayed here and we brought up our fishing boat. They boys loved walking out to the pier and fishing. We had other family memebers staying at other cabins on the lake and we all rented pontoon boats and went to the sandbar to swim and fish. The grills were great for making lunch and dinner. The cabin was cozy and very clean. Overall a great cabin to rent for the week!

Christmas getaway

We wanted to do something different for Christmas this year so we decided to head to one of our favorite places, the Northwoods. The house was great for our group. Kitchen was well equipped for our Christmas dinner. Location is great for doing many other fun things.

Peaceful and Cozy

My mom and I stayed here 05/29-06/01/2025. The dock and back deck were perfect for watching eagles, loons, mallards and their ducklings. It was clean, temperature control was a breeze and there was lots of room with two people. The property was convenient for travel to restaurants and shopping. It was a great starting point for a hike with the dog. Marisa was very helpful and easy to contact. I highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a ride pace outside of St. Germain!
