About this property
Pool + Hot Tub | Near Dollywood + the Smokies | Amber Refresh
Amber Refresh: a light-filled 5BR retreat with shared pool, hot tub & pool table—30 min to Knoxville, near Douglas Lake & the Smokies.
Set on a wooded lot in the rolling foothills outside Knoxville, Amber Refresh is a bright, contemporary five-bedroom retreat built for groups who want room to spread out and plenty of ways to stay entertained. Floor-to-ceiling windows pull the surrounding treetops indoors, filling the open living spaces with natural light and an easy, airy feel.
Gather in the living room, where comfortable seating wraps around a pool table—the kind of setup that turns a quiet evening into a friendly tournament. The fully equipped kitchen handles everything from morning coffee to a full group dinner, and when you'd rather cook outside, double BBQ grills are ready to fire up.
Out back, you'll have access to a shared pool and hot tub tucked among the trees. Float through a warm afternoon with the treetops overhead, or sink into the jacuzzi as the East Tennessee sky turns gold at sunset.
The five bedrooms and four baths keep everyone comfortable: four are furnished with queen beds—including a primary suite with its own ensuite bath and a room that opens straight to the outdoors—while the fifth pairs a queen with three twins, an easy fit for kids, multigenerational families, or a big group of friends.
Amber Refresh also lands you in one of East Tennessee's sweet spots. Downtown Knoxville is about 30 minutes away, with its historic theaters, riverfront restaurants, and the iconic Sunsphere at World's Fair Park. Closer to home, Douglas Lake is a quick drive for a day on the water—boating, fishing, or finding a quiet cove to swim. And the Great Smoky Mountains are within easy reach: Sevierville, the gateway to the national park, sits roughly 35 minutes south, opening the door to Pigeon Forge favorites like Dollywood, The Island, and Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies, plus the wildlife loop at Cades Cove and 800-plus miles of mountain trails just beyond.
Whether you came to hike the country's most-visited national park, spend lazy days on the lake, or simply unwind somewhere green and quiet, Amber Refresh is your basecamp for a true East Tennessee escape.
If you love spending time in nature, staying active, and celebrating wildlife, a trip to the Great Smoky Mountains is a must. Located along the Tennessee/North Carolina border and home to the country's most visited national park, the Smokies provide over 800 miles of hiking trails, rivers, and a good chance at a black bear sighting. The ancient mountains invite you to connect with one of the oldest mountain ranges in the world and walk among century-old trees. Talk about a step back in time!

The house could you a refresh on some of the kitchen essentials - bowls, platters, cleaning supplies etc. We did request a broom to sweep up and it was brought promptly.

Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re really glad you felt welcomed and appreciated the check-ins. It was a pleasure having you stay with us, and we hope to see you again soon!
The stay was wonderful… only complaints were the parking situation and not having a stocked kitchen example not enough pots or pans for cooking and couldn’t play pool because pool cues were broken… other than those the stay was great!

Hi Terri, Thank you for your feedback! We're delighted to hear that you had a wonderful stay overall. We apologize for the inconvenience regarding the parking situation and the kitchen supplies. Your comments have been noted, and we'll work on improving these aspects to ensure a better experience for future guests. We appreciate your understanding and hope to welcome you back in the future.
Before we arrived, it seemed to take a little while for Avantstay to respond. Once we were on site, they were very responsive.Almost everything worked well for our group. One dishwasher did not cooperate, but the second one did, and that was all we needed. It was not very clearly marked which home we were in- there are three all together. The code did not work for the first house (it felt a little bit like goldilocks trying to find the right bed). We went around to the back of the house and a door was wide open so we went in. A faucet was funning in the kitchen and the sink was just about to overflow, so it was good we went in. We called and were told the code hadn't worked because we were early, although we weren't. Perhaps there are two time zones in Tennessee. We were told which house we actually were supposed to be in. At night, it was very hard to see the sidewalks- there were lights but we could not find how to turn them on, so we used our cell phone flashlights.Other than that we had a wonderful time together. The local team was extremely responsive and made the stay fun.

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We’re very glad to hear that once you were on site, our local team was responsive and helped make your stay enjoyable. It’s great to know that overall the home worked well for your group and that you had a wonderful time together.
We sincerely apologize for the confusion upon arrival. That certainly isn’t the experience we want for our guests. We appreciate you flagging the signage and entry code issue, as well as the note about exterior lighting—clear access and a smooth check-in are extremely important, and your feedback helps us improve those details. We’re also grateful you alerted us to the running faucet so it could be addressed quickly.
Thank you again for your patience and for recognizing the efforts of the local team. We’d love the opportunity to host you again and provide an even more seamless experience next time.
