Welcome to The Pole House, an iconic retreat on Martha's Vineyard's hidden gem of Chappaquiddick! Famed on Chappy for its quirky construction centered around telephone poles, The Pole House has been gut-renovated with stylish finishes while maintaining its Bohemian Treehouse vibe. The home boasts a fully-stocked, beautiful airy kitchen and two huge bathrooms plus an enormous outdoor shower. Soaring ceilings are complemented by a cozy bar area and several reading nooks. The four bedrooms feature comfortable organic mattresses and lots of personality in art and furnishings.
The primary bedroom features a king bed, an office area, and views of the surrounding woods. The blue bedroom features a reading nook, cozy platform, and floor to ceiling windows that frequently show beautiful birds or even baby deer. The white bedroom can be preloaded with toys and children's books and even a keyboard! On the main level, the pink bedroom has a full bed and tall windows that look over the backyard.
Chappaquiddick is a 527-foot ferry ride away from Edgartown, meaning it's as quiet as you want it to be, but with easy access to the restaurants and shops of Edgartown. The Chappy Ferry, with boats known as the On Time II and the On Time III can bring you over by car or on foot. A car is needed on Chappaquiddick, but you can park by the The Chappy Ferry on the Chappy side and go to Edgartown for dinner, ice cream, or shopping! The Only Store on Chappy, Chappaquiddick's literal only store, stocks essentials and offers breakfast and lunch sandwiches.
Chappy's beaches are the crown jewels of the Vineyard. Boasting gorgeous stretches of powdery sand, and never crowded, they're great for family days at the beach.
