Misleading advertisement and unprofessional owner
My foster son died a week before we were to stay at this VRBO-Saldana Townhouse Rooftop. The owner refused us a refund or even to change the stay to another time. He offered zero help, zero compassion or empathy. He was almost impossible to get ahold of, refusing our emails until the last minute so that he would conveniently not be able to help. We had to call VRBO several times to try and contact him all while trying to plan a funeral. There was a phone number listed for the owner, but it turns out it was his brother's phone number. The owner clearly didn't want any communication with the guest, which is a problem. My family went ahead and stayed at the VRBO. It wasn't that clean, with hair in the bathroom etc. The kitchen supplies were old and dirty. The check in process was not smooth. Usually I get an email a few days before with instructions. However, this owner, did not want to give us any information until the last minute, which was stressful. There weren't clear instructions on how to get the key for the unit either. The VRBO was advertised as a whole house with 6 bedrooms. This is completely false. It was 2 separate apartment units. One of the units had a stove and the other did not. Only our unit had access to the hot tub. The parking was an issue and we had to park several blocks away from the units. I hope I can help others in avoiding all the problems we had with this owner with is false advertising and unprofessional business.
