Great open plan; no WiFi
Beautiful open floor plan. Cozy and well stocked in the kitchen. Would have been good to have WiFi, especially during COVID for those who work remotely. The VHS selection was good but the VHS player didn’t work to play the movies. Front door didn’t unlock and side door didn’t lock. A bit frustrating to deal with that but overall very nice home.

Nice Cabin Near Big Bear Mountain
Beautiful cabin. Very nice and comfortable. Owner needs to invest a bit of time to make sure the TV, internet, and other essential devices in the house to work properly. Would also be nice if a quick manual to get guests up to speed quickly. We left a day early because there is no way to get in touch with the outside from the house. Our cell phone has no reception and the house has no access to the internet. We'd love to come back next year when the house gets some TLC.

Family Weekend
We enjoyed our brief 2 night stay but have a few suggestions: 1. The door was unlocked and no lock box so security for the home was not good. 2. There were no instructions on how to use the pot belly stove/fireplace. 3. If you want the dishes washed, provide dish washer soap. 4. Couch was dirty and there were no tables in the living room. 5. Great mattresses on the bed. 6. Great decor.

Needs Wi-Fi, refrigerator issues, etc.
Rented this place in mid-January, 2017. Living space is beautiful. Clean, spacious. Nice living room, dining table, kitchen. Perfect for three couples. Master bedroom is very large. Other two bedrooms are small...and tiny. The fireplace is an old-fashioned unfamiliar type with an electric fan and it would have been very helpful if there were directions for its use, specifically with respect to operation of the flue. The refrigerator never got cold. We ended up using the snow outside! We read the information about high-altitude, but that didn't help us figure out how to make the refrigerator work. There were no directions for the television remotes and it took a bit of time to figure out the system. There was no Wi-Fi access!!! The driveway was not plowed and we had to pay someone to plow it for us. It snowed for an hour or so before we arrived in Big Bear, which made it impossible for my Toyota Sequoia to navigate the sloped road to the house without chains. Ended up parking in the overflow lot for the weekend while friends with a four-wheel drive transported our belongings to the cabin. Be sure to bring your own supplies. There are very few provisions at the cabin. But the location was great, the house was clean and I would probably rent it again.
