Katherine's Place welcomes you for a peaceful & relaxing stay! You will experience quiet living & tranquility. Enjoy pasture views from both decks while horses & cattle graze. One level living with a spacious living room and kitchen /dining area. Kitchen is equipped for all your cooking needs & shows off plenty of room to prepare. Dining area is ready to entertain for 6 and 4 along the bar. Get comfortable in the living room while streaming movies on a 65' in tv and enjoy the gas fireplace for a cozy experience. Three bedrooms, each with a queen bed. Primary bedroom has private full bath with shower only. Full bath in hall with tub/shower shared by two bedrooms and guests. Game room in the attached garage features a pool table, air hockey and shuffle board. Plenty of board games and puzzles.

Katherine’s Place is centrally located between the ski slopes on Beech Mountain, NC, to area attractions in Boone, NC and Johnson City, TN.
Beech Mountain Ski Resort is a 41 minute drive away. Public access to the lake is nearby. Boat rentals are available in some marinas.

Nice and quiet little getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Beautiful views of the Tennessee mountains from their front porch. Place was very clean and cozy. One of the more affordable places in the area as well. Host was very attentive and kind.

Absolutely, loved this place. Every room was very spacious. Enjoyed the huge kitchen. Such beautiful views and tranquility and enjoyed watching the deer. We hope this place always remain available as it will always be our go to vacation house!

Great house with a great location! If you're looking for a place that is nestled in the countryside, you found it. Super clean, comfortable beds and honestly everything you need. Will be back for sure. Minutes from Lake Watauga.

Awesome getaway

The house was awesome, It accommodated us very well with 3 spacious bedrooms and a spacious living room as well. Not to far of a drive to the near by ski slopes as well. I really enjoyed the house and look forward to booking again one day down the road

Quiet Seclusion and Privacy

If remote with views is what you seek this place meets all of that! Very beautiful area. Winery in view. The property is near the top of the mountain and takes quite some time to get provisions, just be prepared and no problems. The property was true to the descriptions and the owner interactions easy.

Watauga Dream

The property was exactly as listed but much more comfortable than imagined. We come to the area every year but will be returning to this property. Our kids from 5 to 16 couldn't have had more fun with the fires, deer sightings and game room. My husband wishes it was on the real estate market LOL

Home away from home!

Beautiful home, everything was exceptionally clean and neat. Comfortable everything! We enjoyed visiting with the neighbors across the road and their animals, and of course the views are incredible. Grill was clean and ready to go-loved having that option! We also enjoyed the game room-so much fun playing pool! It is a hike to this house, but the peacefulness is absolutely worth it. Plan accordingly, and take a pic of the check in details before you get there-service is a little iffy. It’s the reason I met the neighbors! Thanks so much, Teresa, and family for sharing Katherine’s lovely place with us!
