We stayed 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the Hocking Hills area. There’s so much to do and we were able to all have a great time. The cabin is adorable, quiet and secluded. The a.c. works great. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and around the campfire at night. The clear, open skies allowed for stargazing. Our host Elizabeth was very attentive and communicated everything we needed to know. We would definitely stay here again
We had a wonderful stay! The cabin was warm and cozy and had everything we needed. The property is a decent size and we enjoyed watching the deer. We will definitely come back!

As a family, we enjoyed cooking together in the well supplied kitchen, spending time in the loft style family room and the covered porch that was perfectly located to view acres of land with the cute red barn. I especially liked the view from the windows located in each room.

We loved this property. It was perfect for a nice quiet getaway, it was lovely to show up to a clean and cozy place that allowed us to just walk in and relax. The personal touches the property owner did made it all
Worth it. Next time we have some time to slip away from our normal daily lives we will
Definitely come back!
We loved the cabin at first sight. Beautiful location and so cute. Upon entering we were a bit disappointed. Very small. It might SLEEP 12 but any more than 5-6 would be super crowded. We found several things that needed attention . If you go here be sure to take everything you might need. It was not well stocked as in T paper, paper towels liquid dush soap etc. be sure to take

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Disliked: Location
Nothing special, wouldn’t book again
Beds are absolutely horrible! Mattress is on a metal frame. The (7) mobile homes that you can throw a rock. What a waste! SAVE YOUR MONEY!! We rent cabins all the time and have NEVER had anything like this. Hocking Hills cabins so much better!!

Hi Robert thank you for your review. It is a very lovely cabin with platform beds and new mattresses. Upon check in we ask if you have any issues to bring them to our attention. You arrived before check in and stayed later than check out which tells me you enjoyed the accommodations.
As the pictures show and others have reviewed it is a secluded property on 14 acres. Hocking Hills is a rural area and on your drive in you will pass by farms, trailers, and some Amish buggies.
Thank you for visiting Hocking Hills.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth
We really enjoyed the cabin and its location.
Pros:
Secluded cabin, great property to walk around on.
Quiet
Location of nearby things to do is great
Nice log cabin feel
updated bathrooms and kitchen
Other than the bugs, pretty clean.
Cons:
Large abundance of Asian LadyBugs, I mean A LOT in the cabin. Flies too. Couldn't figure out where the flies were coming from.
The cabin could use some hooks near the door for coats and sweaters, also some hooks in the bathrooms for towels would be nice.
There are also no dressers in the bedrooms, so if you're there for more than a couple nights, you're living out of your duffle or suitcase.
I consider the following to be both a pro and a con, depending on your needs:
If you really want to disconnect, this is the place. Barely any phone signal and the WiFi hotspot doesn't really work well. We didn't mind the disconnect but bring a book. Not much as far as TV and that's fine by me.
Bottom line, we would return to this cabin for another stay as our complaints can be easily fixed and it really is a great spot.

Hi Tim thank you for your review. I am glad you enjoyed the quiet seclusion and being close to nearby attractions. Thank you for the suggestions we will add hooks and some dressers for guests to use.
Hocking Hills offers wonderful trails to hike and a rural setting. With this comes spotty cell service and limited internet speeds. However with increase in tourism things keep improving in the area in regards to technology offerings. We also have wildlife and bugs. Asian lady beetles are attracted to crops like soybeans and when they are harvested the lady beetles look for new places to roam. This is our first season with this cabin and we had an exterminator come and treat the home. We are hoping with continuous treatments the numbers will reduce next season. We know that we will never be able to eliminate bugs when you have a home in the country. I hope you will come back again and consider us your home away from home in the Hocking Hills.
