We choose the property because we could watch the parade from the comfort of the front porch.

Just a short walk to the bay made for beautiful sunsets and fireworks. It was also convenient to the beautiful park & playground.

The biggest challenge was the kitchen. Very small and almost no counter space. But we managed, and the rest of the house was good. We had a good week!

Great Beach at Cape Charles

Great time, great house!

The property was just as advertised. It had plenty of room for the 5 of us and we had such a great time for our first stay in Cape Charles. We will definitely try book this house again when we return to Cape Charles.

Amazing Fall Getaway

This house is located in the perfect location. It is steps away from the beach, and just a few blocks from downtown. The house is super cute with a lot charm. We loved the historical house feel with all the modern amenities. The owner is very responsive and helpful too.

We enjoyed our stay, driving around in the golf cart, checking out the shops, listening to some live music at Cape Charles Brewing Co, everyone there was so friendly! Enjoyed lunch and the staff at Shantys' and some oysters at A J's, can't wait to go back!!

Family Time

We had the best time staying at Sisters 3. The older home offered charm but was perfect for our young family. We were at the beach from the front door in less than 4 minutes - and that’s walking with a 4 and 2 year old! The house was well stocked with things you need but don’t think to pack, so very grateful for that!

Quaint Old house

House felt like you went to stay at your grandmothers. Very easy process for check in and out. Family enjoyed their stay. House needs a little maintenance, but it is an old property and the end of the season.

Really enjoyed our stay. The house is huge and plenty of room to spread out. We’ve stayed in many VRBO’s and this one was by far the cleanest. Upon entering you could definitely tell things were spotless and sanitized. Great location. The house have everything. Great house and great house.

Our family stayed here with another family over Memorial day weekend. It was wonderful! The perfect location right across from the beach and an easy walk to Brown Dog Ice Cream! The owners were so accommodating and friendly. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! Thanks for the memories!!!!!

Beautiful house by the sea

This was an amazing stay for our whole family. The house was beautiful and the hosts made it even better! With clean rooms prepare with a fresh set of towels on each bed and a detailed binder for all of the local spots to visit including contact information for golf cart rentals. The care and attention that was put into the small details made us appreciate the small friendly neighborhood even more. We can’t wait for our next visit.

Fun, funky, functional

This was our 2nd annual vacation at Sisters 3. The property has a few quirks (no back exit, dishwasher in the room next to the kitchen) but nothing that gets in the way of an enjoyable, multi generation vacation. The hosts kindly provide linens,towels, toilet paper, and a few cleaning supplies. And yes,a bottle of wine! Its just 2 blocks to the beach and the view is gorgeous. During our stay, the town had a water main break, and the hists went above & beyond to ensure we were informed. Thanks for another great vacation!

Mayberry On the Bay

Having just spent a week at Cape Charles at Sisters 3 by the Sea, all I can say is thank you. We had a wonderful time and loved Cape Charles. We wanted quiet and the beach and we got it. The home on the Chesapeake Bay was perfect as the kids enjoyed the water without parents worrying about rough surf. The home couldn't have been any better better located as it is a short walk to get in the water. We walked our kayaks from the house to the beach on a handful of occasions and enjoyed the the inlets. Thank you again. Hopefully we will return soon.

The upstairs bathroom needs serious updating. First front bedroom has wood rot under the window. Dangerous. The first floor bathroom is odd but usable. Spacious house making it very comfortable. We could not get the front door to lock and the screen door would not shut on it's own . Had to manually force it with a lot of effort. very annoying

Perfect location in Cape Charles

We had an excellent stay at this house! We visited with 5 adults, 2 kids, and 1 baby. The house has a nice set up for this many people. 3/4 bedrooms have a bay view. The house has a pretty basic set up. I’d give the house a a 5/10 for comfort- beds/couches/chairs. The kitchen has a good amount of things to use, missing a toaster. The house is not set up for a baby- no high chair/crib. The house does not have beach gear (chairs/cooler). We rented these items from a great local company- ‘All About The Beach’ at an extra expense. The place was clean and the heat/air conditioning worked great. Pertinent to the other reviews stating the condition of the property- I’d just say this is an very old house, located near water. It is a bit quirky and has its ‘old house’ charms. The location cannot be beat- 1 block to the beach, a few blocks from Main St. The front porch is large and a perfect place to hang out and have meals. The host was very responsive to questions, a bit un-knowledgeable about the area, but overall helpful and pleasant. Rent a golf cart and have a great time!

Wonderful seaside break, house needs just a little more TLC

Wonderful to get away and visit Cape Charles for the first time. The house is located c50yds from the Cape Charles beach just behind the first row of houses. Great location. Check in was no issue at all. The house is old and creaky. No worries. Gives it character, and it was in no way uncomfortable. In fact, the master bed was really comfortable! But there were some issues with some of the house's apparatus. Blocked drain and broken plug on arrival (in the one upstairs bathroom), part of the bathroom rusted through and broke while we were there. The sockets for the toaster and microwave didn't work. One had to managed the water carefully to make sure showers were hot, (we didn't find a way for more than one shower without a break and the downstairs shower (which to be fair I don't think gets listed, was never hot enough to use)) and the wifi was slow (might be a Cape Charles issue, not simply the house's). Howard came and fixed some of this within a day. Some of it might take a little longer. In short, we had a great time, and the house is well designed and in a wonderful spot. But to be fair to other travellers, I think it needs some pretty simple investments before we would return.
