Family friendly. Beautiful view. Clean and cozy. Owner greeted us and scheduled a farm tour for my 5 year old granddaughter to see animals. She loved it! We attended a wedding at Eagleview Event Center. Only about 5 miles from venue. Enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful night on the farm

The property was as described. The house was very clean and just what we needed for an overnight stay. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking and Brenda was great to work with! Will stay again when we’re back in the area!

Vacation house rules

Awesome views, quiet location, fully updated, comfortable beds, double carport. Abundant wildlife and farm animals. Walking and hiking opportunities. Excess to regional attractions. Correctable problems- locked out upon arrival, difficult to contact host, bad odor in house at times, hot water heater turned off, lacking necessary kitchen supplies, no house rules or instructions. Warning: poor or non existent cell service. Master bathroom sink drains slowly and provided coffee filters didn’t fit coffee maker.

Janis, thanks for the feedback and regret the mishaps which marred your stay. Your feedback alerted us to a moisture problem under the house which we have since addressed. The checkin procedures and welcome book are in development. We have highlighted the permanent coffee filter which is included with the machine to make it more clear to future users. Additionally, we will provide instructions on how to set your cell phone to talk over the fiber internet. Thanks again for your observations and recommendations. This is an amazing hidden gem in the Elk Creek area. My friends and I have stayed here two years in a row and are already looking forward to coming back next year!

The property was exactly what we were looking for… quiet, comfortable and relaxing.Independence is a short drive away for any necessities, but we came with almost everything for a couple of fine meals.The cookware could use a little refresh, i.e., a few more pots and pans, but it all worked out fine.We weren’t able to do any stargazing because of the cloud cover, but we plan to come back in the fall/winter when the conditions are likely to be more favorable.All in all a great escape from CLT.We will be back!
