Weeks of July 5th to July 12, 2025 and July 26th to Aug. 2nd have opened up. Short walk to the lake. Frye Island is a private, seasonal, island community in Sebago Lake. If you are looking for the quintessential Maine vacation on a lake, search no more. Cottage is located away from the main road thereby assuring the safety of your children. This summer paradise is a peaceful refuge with numerous activities to keep all ages busy. Swimming in the clear, clean, deep waters of Sebago Lake, will refresh and relax you. Boating, fishing, jet-skiing, walking trails, tennis, golf,dirt biking, and a RECREATION CENTER with a POOL are a few of the activities that are available on the island. In addition, numerous restaurants, and shopping are a five minute ferry ride off the island to the surrounding quaint towns. Outlet shopping is available in Freeport and Portland only 45 min. away. North Conway is also a quaint town with shops and lots of outlet shopping one hour from the island.
While on the island you will enjoy beautiful views of the White Mountains and Mt. Washington. This updated 3 bedroom, 2 bath cottage is a short walk down the path to the crystal clear lake where you can swim, relax on a raft, or catch a fish for your dinner. After sunbathing on one of the island's 12 beaches, you can launch your boat, canoe/kayak, or jet ski at the marina. Walk, ride your bike or drive over to the local general store or cafe' for ice cream, supplies, dinner or drinks. Bring or rent golf clubs at Frye Island's challenging 9 hole golf course after which you can enjoy a cool beverage at the Fry Island Club House overlooking the course. The island offers its owners and guests such amenities as an in-ground pool, tennis courts, playgrounds, basketball, Community Center and more.
Boat rental companies are a short ferry ride or drive away.
Frye Island is a wonderful place where the days are longer, and the nights present a light show of stars. Everything you could possibly want is here for the perfect vacation.

We love this great cottage. This was our second year and we'll be back for more next year. The place is always neat and tidy. All of the amenities you would need are there. Short walking distance to several beaches, and to the general store/restaurant/ice cream stand. Our kids love the place. Highly recommended.....except in July, because that's when we go and we don't want anyone reserving our weeks before we do!

relax at Frye Island

The cottage housed 3 generations for a week and it was very comfortable and clean and very well-stocked. There are even gates at the deck entrance for toddler safety. The deck is a great spot to relax and have the day come to an end. We used Beach 5 as our home base which the grandchildren ages 3 to 10 loved - warm water, shallow side to sit on rocks and a dock to swim out to and jump off repeatedly. A very peaceful and relaxing place as vacations should be.

Frye Island is an escape to a place where everyone's happy! So much to do: The island has planned activities if you wish to participate, such as arts and crafts and candy bar bingo for the kids, not to mention fun on the lake,dirt biking, and baseball games at the field. Adults love to golf, play Mahjongg, yoga, trivia night, karaoke, and toasting the sunsets. Star gazing is a popular activity.The sky is so clear at night that one can see the satellites among the trillions of stars!
