Beautiful lodge perfect for our large family gathering— each of the 5 bedrooms has its own bathroom and laundry access. Extremely well-appointed, amazing views, so much to do in the area, and a welcoming home base to relax and enjoy the peace and beauty of the mountains. Would happily stay again. While expensive, it was worth it!

Great place for our family gathering. Wonderful views. Open main level floor plan allowing conversation during meal prep & dining. Main level bedroom, which was nice for our senior parent. Spacious bedrooms with separate bathroom a very nice feature.Prompt communication from host.

The host called me before our stay and told me about some problems with an oven and dishwasher. I appreciated the info but hope that the issues will be fixed before our next stay. Also a little concerned about the number of people allowed on the property at one time - a little too restricted, We don’t throw parties but would like to have a place where a few extra family members can gather to visit or share a meal. Excellent place to stay and love the bedroom and bathroom accommodations.

Thanks for the feedback. The restrictions on the number of people staying at any short term rental are imposed by Grand County. 16 people is the greatest number of people allowed on the property at any given time. Our lodge can comfortably house more than that, but there are penalties for exceeding the limit, which include losing our permit to rent our home for others to enjoy. Hence, we abide by the rules.

Our group of three couples stayed at Byers Peak Lodge in October 2026 to enjoy the fall colors and experience the elk rut, and it exceeded our expectations.Byers Peak Lodge is every bit as beautiful as the photos suggest, and honestly, even more impressive in person. No photograph can truly capture what it's like to stand on the deck and take in the view. Most mornings were spent outside with coffee in hand, watching the sunrise while listening to elk bugling in the distance. We were also treated to regular visits from a resident herd of antelope, which became one of our favorite parts of the trip. The combination of incredible scenery and complete quiet was unforgettable.The living area, with its stunning views and stone fireplace, was the perfect place to gather and unwind after a day of exploring. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed. One small note for future guests: we didn't find any wine glasses, although that wasn't a concern for our group.The owner was responsive and easy to work with, and check-in and check-out were both simple and straightforward.We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Byers Peak Lodge and would gladly stay there again. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

The house was beautiful and served all of our needs. We had three families (16 total people) and we all had ample space to move around. The views were amazing and close to Granby Ranch and Winter Park. We skied both while we were there. Close to the hot springs and Grand Lake. Overall, it was a great week!

Gorgeous Views

The house is conveniently located on top of a hill. All rooms have gorgeous views as does the fire pit outside. Lots of firewood and marshmallow sticks available and kitchen well stocked.
