South Plateau Cabins - a Cozy, Beautiful Log Home near Yellowstone


Located in West Yellowstone, this clean, quiet and comfortable cabin is a perfect alternative to a basic hotel room. The 1600 sq ft log home is just a few blocks away from the west gate of Yellowstone National Park. It has one large bedroom upstairs with one king bed and two twin sized beds. There is a small partition but it's basically one room. The sleeper sofa in the living room has a quality queen sized air mattress inside.
The cabin is well suited as a deluxe suite for couples looking for something unique and special while providing easy access into Yellowstone. It also rents great to small families up to six. In the winter season, we can set it up for 4 twins which fits 4 guys pretty well.

Great location. Very convenient to Yellowstone Park West Entrance and walking distance to the town of West Yellowstone. Cabin very clean and well stocked. For us, it was perfect in every way.

This is a great get away cabin. Located at the edge of town so great for getting around. Very quiet and comfortable. Possibly the cleanest unit we have ever stayed in. Highly recommend.

Family Vacation to Yellowstone

We had a wonderful stay at the South Plateau Cabin. It was clean and cozy and had everything we needed as a base camp after long days in the park. Just minutes away from the West entry gate, we were in the park within 10 minutes every morning. Justin was a very helpful host and we especially loved relaxing while having our breakfast and dinner on the back deck and admiring his beautiful garden. Already wishing we can come back soon!

Would definitely stay at this property again - very nice on the inside, with all the amenities you could ask for (YouTubeTV, Netflix, etc.) Only knock would be the weeds around the property need maintained.

Wonderful location just right outside YNP

We brought our 9 year old grandson out with us and this cabin was ideal for our trip. Justin was so easy to communicate with by offering suggestions for restaurants, etc. The cabin was perfect for grilling and cooking our own meals when we chose to do so. We used the drop off laundry facility across the street and our laundry was ready the next day. Highly recommend this place!

We like the house. However, just a few things need to be adjust. The dishes washer did not work, and we do not see the washer and dryer.

Great comfortable lodging

Just noticed we didn't leave a review yet. Sorry. We were very happy with this cabin. It's very comfortable. The only issue was that the bedrooms are actually one large room upstairs. Nonetheless, we're a close family so it was not a problem. Besides, we were there to see the park and were pretty exhausted at night! Cheers and thanks!

Perfect for our family of 5

We just spent 4 nights here on our first trip to Yellowstone and we had a great stay. Communication with the host was great. Location is fantastic. Close to the west entrance of the park and near The Running Bear and other great restaurants. We had a family of 5 and we fit well in this property. We were gone all day everyday but it was nice to have a place like this to come back too. Parking is right beside the cabin. Great Weber grill at the property and a laundromat at the RV park next door was easy to use mid trip. Also, it had a lot of great amenities included and the fridge worked great. Even a couple of extra coolers at the property. I loved waking up and sitting on the back porch each morning enjoying the cool air. So nice. The only downside to the property for us was the AC was not working. We didn’t know that going in and while most nights it gets down into the 40’s, we didn’t want to sleep with the windows open so we usually woke up a little warm. We would open up the windows when we arrived back each night and leave them open a couple hours before bed. It cooled it off but was usually warm in the morning especially compared to the downstairs. Also without some type of temp gauge we had no idea what the temp was upstairs. Not a huge issue but having conditioned air that we could set at a comfortable temp would have made this property perfect. I would not hesitate to go back to this property and would definitely recommend it to friends. It was great.

Nice well set up cabin in quiet area. Comfortable couch, well equipped kitchen. Tv etc.Only down side was the stairs to the bedroom were very narrow and steep and the bed was hard for me. We had to be very careful going downstairs in the middle of the night to use the bathroom.Other than that a very nice play to stay.

The cabin was spotless and cozy and exactly as pictured! The owner was very receptive and courteous. Check-in could not have been easier! The cabin is conveniently located on an extremely quiet stretch of a main street. Restaurants and groceries were within walking distance or a short drive. We never heard any traffic or other guests. It was just a two minute drive to the west entrance of the park. The only concern was navigating a steep staircase from the upstairs bedroom to the downstairs bathroom in the middle of the night. We simply took our time and used the stair railings and we were fine.

We totally enjoyed staying in this lovely log cabin. The kitchen was very well equipt. The decor was beautiful and comfortable. The tempur-pedic mattress was terrific, and the location to the West Entrance to Yellowstone NP was extremely convenient. We can definitely recommend this cabin.

We had an amazing time in Yellowstone. The cabin was perfect and had all the amenities you would need. We stayed during the 4th of July, and the fireworks were literally right out your front door. Communication was easy with the owners. Highly recommend for anyone staying in town.
