We loved our time at this fantastic little beach cottage! It had everything we needed and nothing that we didn’t, close to the beach with a great front porch for stargazing and enjoying late afternoon thunderstorms. Special thanks to our lovely host, who personally helped us out with a couple of self-inflicted issues!

I want to start with our host... Cathy is the sweetest person I've never met! She was great with communication and made everything easy. The house is great, clean and has everything you need. Perfect for our girls trip. It is a true, simple beach house and we are looking forward to another trip!

Wanda and Cathy were amazing hosts. Very responsive and sending updates before we even arrived. It was the perfect property for our family of five. It accommodated us all with no issues. The walk to the beach was brisk and not bad at all. The beach access was not busy and felt like we had our own private beach.

Family Time…

We had a lovely time. It was so nice to have sheets on the beds, towels, toilet paper, paper towel, beach chairs—even laundry soap! Cathy was so kind and responsive. We’ll be back!

This cottage was perfect for our family vacation! Cathy was an amazing host and very communicative. The cottage had all the amenities and things we needed. From towels and linens to central AC, internet, and paper products. Short walk to the beach with our two children and lots of places to eat nearby. The beach was peaceful and the boardwalk across the street was amazing for watching the sun go down. Our kids even loved the outdoor shower. Would highly recommend!!

Great rental- all the essentials so didn’t have to pack all Our beach stuff, linens, and efficient for a short stay when we planned a trip late in the season. South topsail road is busy so a little sketchy walking on it with little Kids but appreciated the firmly locking gate across top of the steps of the porch. Liked being across from the marsh boardwalk and little park with swings too. Host is readily available and responsive!

Simply Perfect

This beach house is absolutely perfect. Short walk to the beach, views of the bay (and close to a bayside pier), and super easy access to the center of Surf City. Loved mornings on the porch sipping coffee and reading when storms passed through. Well appointed kitchen and easy comms with host. All of my family gives this location a 10/10.

A cozy cottage

This is a wonderful place to stay in. It is clean with a warm cozy feel to it. It is close to the stores - about 10 minutes, and is also about 8 minute walk to the beach access. There is also an outdoor shower which helped rinse out after the beach. The hostess was very responsive and so very helpful. The beds are comfortable too. An extra private bathroom and a dishwasher would have rated it a 5 star. We completely enjoyed our stay.

Mold in bathroom, bathtub , scary to use for baby. Laundry : leaking water from ceiling to washing machine, impossible to use it, we didn’t use it, because of horrible condition. Kitchen : all pots impossible to use, in very bad nasty condition, scratches . Like result: we purchased new pots to use during stay . Mold on deck cover everything , we didn’t use it . Shower outside without light ( doesn’t work). And grass and bushes around shower are not taking care and they have snakes. Without light very dangerous to use it. I have pictures for everything. No dishwasher . I think, we need refund for this unit. I don’t know how company allows to put unit in that condition for rent. Plumbing in kitchen doesn’t work, water stays inside sink all the time. Impossible to wash sand after beach, because hose was tear apart

A good place to get away

Property is in good shape. Doors stick, The kitchen needs a few more utensils to be complete.A dish washer would be a good start. Ease of access for someone with physical handicap not so good. Traffic was a pain from 3pm to 6pm , im not sure why. I would give this property an 8 out of 10. We enjoyed our stay

Great family vacay!

We snuck away to Topsail for a second time this summer last minute and found this little gem of a cottage. It is across the street from a family park (we fished and played basketball there) and conveniently located to the Surf City center. We typically stay in Topsail Beach (south) and it is a bit quieter there for traffic as you would expect, but this was a nice shake up location wise. The homeowner provided beach chairs, a beach cart, beach towels, etc. which made our packing lighter and easier once there. Having linens, towels, and laundry supplies provided also made the trip easier on me which I was grateful for too. The owner was very kind and communicative during our stay - even had cupcakes and candy set out as we arrived for my husband and son's birthdays (that we celebrated while there). The bedrooms are a little small, but it didn't bother us as we wanted to be outside anyway! Very reasonable cost for such a great vacation spot for our family getaway!!

This cottage was perfect, for what our family needed. It is in a quiet location across from the sound. Everything was clean and neat and ready for our arrival. We plan on staying here again! We just had some difficulty finding outlets to use and a fan in the kitchen did not work, but the host/Cathy was very responsive to our request to look at the AC and the TV in the living room. I’m glad we brought our table top ice maker, it did take a while for the cottage’s freezer to make ice. My son loved how close it was to all the fishing areas. The beds were comfortable and we did have a very nice time.
