93108 / Montecito getaway !!!

Just renovated guest quarters in a modern home in the exclusive Montecito section of Santa Barbara. Private entrance. Easy street parking.

Over 400 square feet. Steam room shower, mini-refrigerator, microwave, queen bed / real mattress, 65' Samsung flat screen TV and Blu-Ray DVD player.

Free wireless internet.

Private patio area.

Guests must descend a dozen stairs to enter.

No air conditioning. Nor is there in the main house where we live. Rare in Santa Barbara houses due to its coastal location. This was never an issue for years but last few summers have had some record-breaking heat. We provide a powerful Dyson tower fan and an auxiliary fan which will make room comfortable if there is a “heatwave”. This is a rare rare occurrence.

House features views of Montecito Peak and is in a remote tranquil canyon.

The Pacific Ocean (beautiful Butterfly Beach) - 3 miles.

Closest restaurants / ATM / food market / pharmacy (Coast Village Road or the local's Upper Village) - both 2.5 miles

Downtown Santa Barbara (shopping, movies, museums, dozens of restaurants) - 3 miles.

Santa Barbara Mission - 4 miles.

Westmont College - 1.2 miles.

UCSB and Santa Barbara Airport - 12 miles.

Wine County (Santa Ynez Valley) - 30 miles.

Great hosts. Snacks and coffee left for their guests. Nice studio room with large TV and a steam room! Quiet outdoor area great for peaceful relaxation. Up in the hills so no busy downtown noise. But not far from shops, State street or other vacation spots. Hopefully I'll be able to stay there again.

Exactly as advertized with accurate photos and ammenities. Dysan fan was very helpful to counter the heatwave I encountered while visiting. Highly recommended and in a very high-end neighborhood and no problem getting an Uber despite the somewhat remote location high up in the Monteciton hills. Owners were away for the weekend but communocated very well and made it easy to gain access. Thanks Lisa and Chris and hope to return soon...

Place was well designed and put together. Cute place with high ceilings and a peaceful garden area for morning coffee, etc. About 10 mins to Santa Barbara....25 mins to UCSB. If you have a low-clearance vehicle be very careful pulling into the driveway. I'd recommend making arrangements with the owners/host to allow you to park on the right side of the driveway as the "bump" is lower there. But all in all...great little place with pretty quick access to SB

The property was lovely. It was a real treat to stay in Montecito for a very reasonable price. We were able to walk for our tour at Lotusland through the lovely neighborhood. We would absolutely stay there again. The place was quiet, spacious and very clean . We were thrilled!

Nice place to stay in the hills of Montecito. For the price it is much better than a local hotel and you get to experience more of the area besides just downtown SB. Our trip wasn’t really a “getaway” just needed a clean, quiet, semi close to SB place to sleep and it checked all those boxes.Thank you!

Great choice: comfortable, has everything you need plus a shower which also serves as a steam room. Drive time into Montecito and Santa Barbara is 15-20 minutes, although you must drive carefully at night because it is on a mountain road.

It is so quiet! I haven’t slept that well in a long time. Lisa was very hospitable and prompt with communication. The bed is comfortable and the steam shower was so relaxing. The surrounding area is green and lush. I had some lovely walks! It was a convenient place to stay while visiting my son at Westmont. Thank you!
