We are grateful that you enjoyed your stay. Thanks again for choosing our vacation rental.
We loved our visit and hope to be back! The home fit our family perfectly and the pool was a highlight every day. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly and everything we needed was super close by (restaurants and groceries).
Gary was the kindest host I've ever met.
excellent property-listing is true and accurate. owner is always available and corrects any issues promptly. thoroughly enjoyed my 2 month stay in this lovely home and enjoyed my interaction with the owner. the best house i have rented in cape coral over the last 12 years!
Clean, modern up to date kitchen and both bathrooms. Perfect laundry setup. Fabulous pool, our grandkids loved it. Beautiful canal. We all agreed we could live there. Close to grocery stores, Cape Coral, great host, Gary. We would highly recommend
We loved staying at the house. Great location, close to our friends and not a far drive to beautiful Sanibel Island. We enjoyed the pool table and the pool. The owner provided fishing poles to fish off the dock and beach chairs and umbrella and beach towels. He had to come by the house a couple times but called to notify that he was coming, so good communication. Beds and pillows are super comfortable. Nice coffee bar and great seating in living room.
Could have used a small fan for master bath, seems to be hottest room in house so when getting ready a fan would be nice to keep this room cooler. We would stay here again!

Thank you for the helpful feedback Julie. We have a fan to vent the toilet room but another near the shower area would make sense. We will look into that.
Thank you again for staying with us.

Since hurricane Ian, our electric breaker at the dock has been kicking off constantly. This puts our boats bilge pumps at rick of not functioning after a strong rain. Which means the boat fills up with rain water. Not good. Our electrician is struggling to identify the problem.

Interrupted vacation
The house was clean but could use some updates. Check in process was great. I was required to put the pool cover on and take it off. This could be an issue for some to do. I was contacted by the host multiple times because he was sending people to the house. Landscaper, pool maintenance, boat maintenance, electrician and he even stopped by to shut the sprinkler system off. This seemed strange to rent a place out and expecting the guests to be ok with all of this. I will say the backyard is beautiful but it was a bit stressful wondering when the host wanted to send someone else over.

This review is not at all accurate. I always contact guests before any basic maintenance like having a professional service cut the grass or cleaning the pool. Grass does not cut itself and pools do not clean themselves. There is no way to maintain a property if you do not maintain the property. However, when the guest responded that any and all maintenance will cause an extreme amount of stress I cancelled all maintenance. I will always go to extremes like this to accommodate a guest. At no time did anybody enter the house, pool area any common area, knock on any door or even make eye contact with this guest. Even when they checked in several hours early without notifying us. This is a blatant violation of our policy.
A neighbor called and told me our lawn sprinkler system was running for over 15 hours. Our city has a strict rule about how often we are can water our grass during the dry season (winter months). I notified the guest that I have to stop by for less then a minute and turn off one water pipe in the front side yard. Again. zero contact with any guest The guest responded with a thumbs up. Here is my attempt to share a screen shot of the conversation to support the fact that Brian responded with a thumbs up when I texted him. Not sure if this will be blocked. https://netorg14324417-my.sharepoint.com/:i:/g/personal/gary_agentbarton_com/EYkKYD-plIlEgnzrmEJCv-IBlAsh-Y3m9wXtmme7eeOX3Q?e=57hqJF ,
As far as the POOL COVER. I just don't understand Brian. I told Brian to use the pool cover as you like or don't use it at all. It helps keep the pool slightly warmer over long cool nights. WE NEVER HAVE REQUIRED ANYONE TO USE A POOL COVER. We had this conversation.
Normal every day maintenance is common with every property. Grass does not cut it's self and pools do not clean themselves. The pool needs to be cleaned weekly but I CANCELLED ALL MAINTENANCE.

Why they chose this property
One of my favorite features of this Mediterranean style tropical oasis is the Gulf Access canal in the back yard. Occasionally we see Dolphin and Manatee frolic in and out of our canal as they search for food. It only happens several times a year but it seems magical every time.
What makes this property unique
A unique feature of this pool home is the location. You are not only surrounded by all South West Florida has to offer like many great restaurants and Tiki bars with live entertainment, amazing beaches and boating excursions as well as great kayaking and fishing however, this property is in a very quiet, serene and safe neighborhood on a dead end street with almost no traffic yet in the middle of all the attractions.
