A tucked-away mountain cabin made for slow evenings and quiet mornings.
Every group has a place they keep coming back to. The Den House is that place.
Named for the feeling you get the moment you walk through the door that deep, settling exhale of a space that is comfortable, warm, and completely removed from the noise of ordinary life.
The Den House is a rustic mountain cabin tucked away in the quiet landscape of Florissant, Colorado. It isn’t trying to be grand. It’s trying to be exactly what it is: a den. A retreat. A place where the wood fireplace crackles, the hammock sways in the mountain air, and nobody checks their phone because nobody needs to.
Picture the first evening: you’ve unpacked, the fire is lit, and the only decision left is whether to relax inside or step outside to watch the stars come out over the Colorado wilderness. That’s the Den House.
Views of the pines from every window, with a quiet spot to sip coffee and bird watch.
The Space
Two comfortable bedrooms with memory foam mattresses sleep up to 4. The renovated bathroom has a tub and shower combo. The kitchen is fully stocked : Ninja coffee maker, full cookware, 4-person dining table, for everything from a slow mountain breakfast to a proper dinner after a day on the trails.
The living room is where the Den earns its name. A plush velvet sectional, a 55-inch Fire TV, and ready, and a wood-burning fireplace that makes the whole cabin feel like a warm exhale.
Step outside and find a wraparound deck, a freestanding hammock, and a fire pit with a complimentary s’mores kit. The mountains are right there.

Our stay was perfect - super cozy and just as described. The bed and pillows were so comfy we slept so good.
Quiet area. Perfect for us gals, as we were in town for a conference and were able to get away and relax in the evenings. Both beds were comfortable. Hosts were attentive to messages and very easy to work with…very accommodating.
It was a great little cabin. Clean and pet friendly. The only real down side was the proximity of the other houses. Easy to find and check in was easy. This will definitely be a place I would visit again.
After a long day of traveling, this place was very relaxing and comfortable. Short stay but I enjoyed myself and very nice property. Thank you very much and would definitely stay here again!
The cabin is in a great place. If you want disconected the routine, this is the place. Beautiful and close to many attractions. The communication was easy and fast. La caɓaña es un excelente lugar. Si quierez desconectarte de la rutina, este es el lugar. Es bella y cerca de muchas atracciones. La comunicacion fue facil y rapida.
Nice enough cabin and was clean. My biggest complaint, which I didn't realize upon booking it, was the size of the shower.I'm guessing it is what normally fits in an RV. Perfect bath size for a toddler.
We stayed for one night and I was very impressed by the cleanliness and thoughtful design of the entire place. It was very welcoming and quaint, from the mushroom night light to the well stocked hygiene products and fun LOTR decor. We didn’t have time to enjoy the wood burning stove or the hammock, but the beds were comfy and comforters were fluffy!
We stayed here for a week hoping to take a little break in the mountains and it was lovely. The cabin in a quiet location away from major street noise and light. The stars glow at night from how clear the sky is. The location is great for groups that want to explore the nearby parks and trails. And the deer are adorable and really do come right up to you! The owners were super responsive and sweet, thanks for a great stay!

The cabin was clean but all of the doors needed some attention. The bathroom was super small and it was not a secluded cabin in the Forrest like the pictures made it look. There were other homes all around.
People with multiple larger dogs can come here and relax with them. Interior doors may get stuck if you try to close them all the way. But this is a cute quiet place not too far from a main road with wild life walking by the windows. I wish I could afford to stay here forever.
If peace, quiet, nature, tranquility is your interest, this is it! 3 mornings straight at sunrise 2 to 6 deer walked within 20 ft of us sitting on deck, inc 2 fawns! Host is super, very helpful and quick to answer any question. We know anyone looking to r&r will appreciate this peaceful persuit of happiness!
So we managed to book this amazing little place at the last minute because our original beach plans were cancelled due to hurricane Beryl. We could not have found a better place to venture to by far! This little place is secluded and quiet, surrounded by beautiful trees and nature to admire from a large porch area where we also enjoyed nightly pit fires and stargazing. The rental itself was very clean and included everything we needed during our stay! Check in/out was easy and the host was prompt to answer questions and provide information. We would recommend this place and plan to return at some point 👍
Clean, easy process, easy to find, close to attractions that we wanted to see. Shower is small. I am small and I felt cramped. One thing not in the pics is that from the property, there are maybe 4-5 neighbors within 75 yards. Trees don’t block views of neighbors. Did see several deer and a few elk. Solid stay overall.
