Charming Tahoe Pines Log Cabin at low elevation. See discounts. Fast internet!
Our classic Lincoln Log cabin is in a sunny spot in TAHOE PINES, which is one of the West Shore's most beloved neighborhoods. Tahoe Pines is excellent for strolling the beach and walking in the woods year-round. It is a sunny, friendly place. You just might get hooked. :-) 12 mi to the Palisades at Tahoe (Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows) Ski Areas. Local's tip: When is the absolute best time to visit Lake Tahoe? Fall! The lake is its warmest, the sun is soft, the evenings are crisp, and the colors are fantastic. High-speed internet too!

EASY GOING, RUGGED, authentic Log Cabin. Set-up to feel homey and soothing. A well-traveled, obedient dog is welcome (we will happily host ONE dog. SEE DETAILS UNDER AMENITIES FOR DOG PARAMETERS; if you don't plan to respect them, don't book it. We want to keep it nice for everyone.)
Enjoy the EASY ACCESS to the street-level main floor (only two steps to the front door). The fully functional first floor includes a spacious mudroom, living room, dining room, kitchen, bedroom with dressing area & full-size laundry, bathroom (tub/shower), and convenient backdoor to sunny deck & backyard. The second bedroom serves as a bonus room, given that it is as large as the living room and has a sitting area with a rocker, a small sofa, and a pleasant work desk. Plus it has a convenient half-bath (sink and toilet.) Maximum occupancy: four people.
Super CONVENIENT LOCATION between Sunnyside Marina and Homewood Ski Area on Lake Tahoe's West Shore. Approximately 10 min walk (1 min by car) to the beach, 3 min drive to Homewood Ski area or Sunnyside, and approx. 15 min to Alpine Meadows Ski Area or 20 mins to Squaw Valley Ski Area. We do not issue refunds due to road conditions or storms. If this concerns you, then be sure to purchase travel insurance.
RE: coronavirus- we are maintaining buffers between bookings longer than usual. We are the sole cleaners of the cabin. According to our reviews, we do a good job. This has the added benefit of minimizing the number of people in and out of the cabin.

Why they chose this property
Welcome to what was my first Tahoe home back in 1998! I am delighted to now be able to share it with you. Located in one of the West Shore's most beloved neighborhoods, Tahoe Pines is great for strolling to the beach, riding bicycles, and easy walks in the woods. It is a very sunny and friendly place. You just might get hooked. I did and still live near-by. :-)
What makes this property unique
The back deck is lovely for coffee in the morning sunshine. There is a spacious mud room, makes for a handy "drop spot". The big dining room is a real luxury and leaves the living room more spacious than found in most cabins. The open upstairs bedroom enjoys lovely sun morning and afternoon, cross ventilation, it's own private half bath and makes for a great 2nd gathering space. Easy parking close to front door. Street level entry. Dog friendly neighborhood, beach and forest.
