Nice, But Didn't Get What I Paid For
The home was nicely decorated, furnishings were comfortable. Small, but liked the layout. I was disappointed that the heat in the pool was not working for nearly our entire stay. A heated pool was the most important thing I was looking for in a property. Most of our time was going to be rest and relaxation by the pool, so without the heat, the pool was very cold and not usable. I could have easily rented a home without a pool for less than half of what I paid for this private heated pool that I never got to use. For that reason, I feel I didn't get what I paid for. The couple did refund me $150 to go have a nice dinner to make up for the trouble, but honestly, I was out a lot more money than $150 to compensate for the amenities I paid for that were unavailable for use. The other thing that I was quite upset about was that there were security cameras that were not disclosed in the listing. I don't mind a Ring doorbell camera, but a camera overlooking the pool area felt like an invasion of privacy. The inside smart home security system that faces living/dining area also has a camera/speaker and recording capabilities. Very few additional amenities were provided. No seasonings/condiments, no laundry soap, no cleaning products. The sugar cannister on counter by coffee bar had a lot of ants in and out of cannister. Owner might want to switch to individual packets. Main bathroom shower door is missing half the door so water gets all over the floor when you shower in there.
