Private lakefront escape–kayak, swim, fish & ski in ME
A quiet, spring-fed lake. A private beach. A canoe waiting at the water's edge. This 4-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom lakefront home on Little Wilson Pond has been a beloved family retreat for fifty summers — and now it can be yours too! Swim, fish, kayak, or simply sit and listen for the loons at dusk. Pick wild blueberries down the road, explore local farm stands, and experience Maine the way it's meant to be. Portland is 50 minutes away, but you may never want to leave.
THE PROPERTY: Upstairs, three additional bedrooms with a mix of king and queen beds give everyone their own space, along with a pull-out sofa for extra guests. The bedroom at the top of the stairs has its own full bath, and a third full bathroom is conveniently located in the hall, easily accessible from the other two rooms. A second living area with games, books, and sweeping lake views is the kind of room people end up spending more time in than they expect.
Outside, a private tree-lined yard with multiple seating areas and a gas grill leads directly to the water, with a canoe, kayak, inflatables, and fishing gear ready to go whenever you are.
Little Wilson Pond is a year-round destination. Summer is magical, but fall might be even better — the foliage around the pond is stunning and the pace is wonderfully unhurried. Come winter, Sunday River is an hour away, and you can ice fish right on the pond from your own backyard — one of the most quintessentially Maine experiences there is!
GUEST ACCESS: Guests have full access to the entire home, property, and lake — all indoor living spaces, all bedrooms, and all outdoor areas including the yard, beach, and lake equipment. Please note that two closets are locked and reserved for owner storage and cleaning supplies.
OTHER DETAILS: Self check-in via smart lock — your unique door code will be sent 24-48 hours before arrival. Maximum occupancy is 8 guests. Guests must be 25 or older to book. No smoking, no pets, no parties or events.
Please note there is a Ring doorbell camera at the front door to monitor the driveway for your safety and for our peace of mind. We do have motion detectors active on both floors as part of a security system — these do not record video. There are no interior cameras.

We loved our stay! The host was exceptional, the house was amazing and the spot on the pond was beautiful. It was perfect for celebrating our son's graduation with our extended family. Elena was a wonderful host and she thought of everything we would need. The house was exceptionally clean and well appointed. We would love to stay again!

Thank you John for the feedback! You and your family are always welcome to our special place. It was a pleasure hosting you. Have a wonderful summer!
Photos don't do this listing justice! It's bigger on the inside, and the sub-floor heating was the BEST surprise! Fully stocked kitchen, very clear welcome booklet and chec in/out instruction. Great and friendly communication with the hosts and prompt response to questions. Would recommend for any group. PLENTY of room for any and all people!
We loved Elena’s house. What first drew us to it was the Pond view and the great bathroom to bedroom ratio. 3.5/4. We really enjoyed everything about the house! The grill outside was great, the kitchen was well stocked, we loved the extra kitchen storage space for the things we had brought. We played cards at night at the big table, and especially loved the soft sheets and comfortable beds! My teenage son kayaked every day. And we came at a time where the leaves were changing. The view was beautiful. My friend and I walked 2 miles every morning down the length of the pond. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

We're Elena and Ava, and this home has been in our family for fifty summers. We're available throughout your stay and genuinely happy to help if anything comes up! Message us and we'll get back to you promptly — we want your time here to be wonderful from the first morning to the last.
A bit about this mom & daughter duo: we love traveling, hiking, cooking, gardening, spending time with family by the lake, and listening to classical and country music. Fun fact: Ava is working on her PhD in Criminal Justice at UMass Lowell right now!
Why they chose this property
Tucked away on a quiet, spring-fed lake in Turner, Maine, Little Wilson Pond is a true escape. The pond is home to loons, brook trout, and bass, and on still mornings the water mirrors the tree line perfectly. You're close enough to Auburn and Lewiston for great restaurants and breweries, yet far enough away to feel completely removed from it all. This is the kind of place where the biggest decision of the day is whether to paddle out at sunrise or wait for the loons to call at dusk.
What makes this property unique
Little Wilson Pond has been in the family for generations — and it shows. This isn't a cookie-cutter rental; it's a home full of warmth, stocked like one too. The kitchen is ready for real cooking, the pantry is full, and we've left local maple syrup and pancake mix so you can wake up and make blueberry pancakes the way we always did here. Private lake access, a canoe, kayaks, fishing gear, and some of the best loon watching in Maine are all steps from the back door. We've also put together a detailed local guide so you can eat, explore, and adventure like a local. This place holds fifty summers of family memories — and we're genuinely honored to share it.
