We recently stayed at this beautiful home during our daughter’s wedding. This home and the views are just incredible. Our host, Francesca was wonderful to work with. If you have not yet been to Vermont, I highly recommend you book this house. The house and grounds are simply spectacular!

Absolutely incredible stay. The check in is exactly as instructed, the house is extremely clean and beautifully appointed. There's plenty of space to be together and also to separate when desired - the rooms are huge and the basement game room was awesome. The kitchen is wonderful with anything you could possibly need, all of the highest quality (we were able to have fresh blueberry pancakes for breakfast from the on-site bluberry patch). The rooms got a bit warm during the day (it was a very hot week), but with windows, fans, and a nice breeze it was fine, and comfortable at night. The views are incredible whether on the lawn, on the deck, or in any of the east facing rooms. We did lose internet after a thunderstorm - the host reached out immediately to see if we needed anything. Nothing any host can do about certain things like that and they handled our whole trip beautifully and professionaly. I would highly recommend - this was absolutely the best stay we've had in the Northeast Kingdom.

We had a great stay. The host was superb and attentive. Checking in and out (especially) was super easy. The house is beautiful, well setup, and has activities for every age. The grounds are huge. We had a great time cross country skiing and snowshoeing on the property. Highly recommended.

We have been booking places up in this area to go to Jay peak for years now. This place is by far the best place we have ever stayed. Would recommend this to anyone trying to have a great experience up north. Thank you to the amazing host as well. Very easy to communicate with and very nice!

Francesca was a wonderful host! She was quick to respond and extremely accommodating. The house was meticulously maintained with comfortable beds, top quality linens and towels and a fully stocked kitchen. The entire house was beautiful-even better in person than in the pictures.

This was the best VRBO any of us had stayed in. Impeccable maintained and clean. Very well laid out, more amenities than we could use. The kitchen had everything, best appliances, knife set, and matching silverware. The supply of firewood for the fireplace was prepared and very dry wood. Host was clear, fast, and helpful. Best house and area orientation book for our arrival. The garage door opener was very thoughtful. I highly recommend, I expect a summer stay would be wonderful.

Stunning!

We traveled with our large family and had plenty of room for everyone! The house was beautiful and had the coolest basement I've ever seen! We were snowed in for half our trip, but still had the best time hanging at the house!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this vacation home! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The amenities were amazing — truly everything you could possibly need, they have thought of. It felt like a home away from home, but even better. The house was spotless, beautifully maintained, and very well kept. You can tell the owners take great pride in making sure guests are comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the equipment and utensils you could ever need, making it so easy to cook and enjoy meals together.Communication was beyond exceptional. Every question was answered promptly and clearly, and the entire process was smooth and stress-free.There is truly something for everyone — whether you’re traveling with adults, kids, or both. Everyone in our group had an amazing time. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect getaway

Friends getaway

We look for places to golf and then find place to stay. This was the perfect place for our four couples and two infants. The view of the lake was great with the mountains behind it. The landscape and pond were perfect for the warm summer days. Plenty of activities for us and the children here. Needless to say this house exceeded our expectations and we all left wishing we stayed a few days longer!

We enjoyed our stay. The 6 bedrooms w/ bathrooms were a big plus for our grp of 12. Game room was awesome! Great view of lake; perfect for bucket golf which we played almost every day. Although the house had plenty of great features, there were some items that made our vacation less than perfect. 1. House does not have air conditioning! With the sun beating in and temps up to the 90’s, the house was terribly hot; downstairs bedroom reached mid 80’s every day & upstairs bedrooms approached 90 degrees! Ceiling & floor fans did not provide much relief. A/Cs would have solved this issue. 2. Refrigerator did not provide adequate space for 12 people. We had to use 4 coolers and purchase ice every day. There was a refrigerator in the basement, but was not usable. 3.There were hornet’s nests in several locations – behind several shutters in the deck area and near the stone wall. We couldn’t use the deck until I sprayed the nests. The presence of bees/hornets is not avoidable, treatment of the nesting areas is. 4. Two bedrooms had mattresses that were very uncomfortable – time to replace them. 5. The horse flies were unbearable. Any time spent in the yard meant you had to deal with being bit. Periodic fogging of the area would ensure renters do not have to deal with horse flies and mosquitos. This property/house would be perfect if these issues were addressed! All fixable(We would not call the pond swimmable; more like a bog, full of algae & frogs & gets deep quick)

Thank you for your feedback which we take very seriously. The house listing explicitly states/stated that there is no AC when you booked. While we have no control over this summer’s unusual heat waves, we do have control over an accurate listing. To clarify… there is no AC. The $18k, 48” fridge is the largest made by Subzero. Arguably the nicest and largest fridge money can buy. We are not sure how to improve on this for our guests. The mattresses being uncomfortable is the first complaint about them from any guest. We will wait to see what other future guests think now that you have identified this problem. The VT environmental protection agency is unlikely to allow us to fumigate our 166 acres of forest to get rid of pesty New England insects. We apologize for this unavoidable inconvenience. A “bog” is not “deep” and the water in one is not crystal clear. Ponds are not chlorinated and do not have cement stairs with handrails to enter. We agree that “frogs” and “algae” in a swimming pool would be gross. However, in a pond they are part of a natural ecosystem. The only thing that doesn’t belong in such a pond are tourists who don’t understand that. We recommend your next vacation be at Disney or an indoor resort. Sincerely, Peter - Owner of the house.
