One minute's walk from the beach, Placid Cottage located at 'Plumtucket' -is a charming 1½ story year-round cottage artfully designed & appointed. Placid Cottage offers an island ambiance and dramatic interiors!

This one-bedroom that sleeps four is stunning! 17' ceilings, central air, 2-car parking! This cottage has an open breezy living space, a modern (gas range, microwave, stainless steel appliances, granite countertops) fully appointed and applianced (everything from a crockpot to a submersible blender) kitchen, a cozy gas fireplace, a top of the line comfy queen bed, a memory foam pullout and a relaxed comfortable outside dining area complete with a gas grill. Although you are away, stay connected with wi-fi and streaming music and video through the flat screen. The island has everything you need. However, if you must head off island, city amenities abound in Newburyport, which include shopping, farm to table restaurants, bars with live music, performing art centers, free concerts and much more.

Walk to beach & Parker River Wildlife Refuge.

This is a fantastic hideaway for a weekend or long lazy week and is in a wonderful quiet tucked away location.

We enjoyed our stay at Edward's cottage on Plum Island. Edward was very attentive to our needs even let us check in a full day early so we could travel in safer weather. The cottage had everything we needed and the fireplace was great as we had some cold temperatures during our stay in January.

It’s rare to find a vacation property for two people that has all the amenities, is in a great location, and is actually affordable. Plumtucket checks all the boxes, and Ed is a great host.

Plum Paradise

This was the perfect place for the escape that I needed! The cottage was as pictured...beautiful and clean with everything you would need. Close to the beach, and a short drive to Newburyport for great restaurants and ambiance of a seaside town. I can't wait to go back :)
