Very nice stay. Third year returning to this property. Comfortable and clean. Convenient location for my travel purpose. Could have used a can opener but I may have just missed it. I will definitely use this property again.

It is unbelievable that a guest would break a toe in the bathroom without reporting the incident to the owner or the platform. Post occupancy inspection showed no evidence of trauma in the apartment. If this truly happened we wish you a speedy recovery. Thank you for saying that the bed was comfortable. Linda reported no issues during her stay which led us to believe she had a comfortable stay.

There is nothing private about this
This is not private and it's not your "own home". There is no thermostat in the unit. That's right, if you want to control the A/C YOU HAVE TO MESSAGE THE HOST. What a joke! I found this out the hard way when it was blasting through the vent late Friday night. Closing the vent created a loud whistling noise which was worse. I contacted the host the next day and she said it was connected to central air in the main house, and I would have to contact her for changes. Then, she told me there was a "space cooler" in the living room I could move to the bedroom. By "space cooler" she meant a floor fan. SERIOUSLY!As a previous guest pointed out, it is a garage conversion that was clearly done without permits. There are at least 4 different floor levels, 3 in the bathroom alone. That's all well and good, but no thermostat??Early Saturday morning I heard a television. It was strange because there is no TV in the bedroom. It was coming from the main home, which is separated from this unit by a thin closet door.VRBO has a commercial about how staying with a host is bad. This is probably worse. At least one would be able to access the thermostat while staying with a host.Neither VRBO nor the host offered any solution, so I am going directly to my bank to dispute the charges.

Jeremy wrote this retaliatory review after staying multiple nights then waited 12 days to call customer service to get money back. When his reason was not merited he came up with this story to spin a bad light on our home.
This is a mid century modern home and anyone familiar with that architecture would know they were designed with different levels such as a sunken living room etc.
Jeremy first booked the home before then cancelled. I guess he was shopping for a better deal. I took the loss of the unhooked nights and gave him a full refund in good faith. He then booked again at a later date and now he is trying to get money back from that stay by citing a laundry list of reasons. The platform denied his request so he decided to give the worst review possible.
The place was in good condition when he left but I would caution any host when accepting his booking because it seemed he is trying to get a free stay.
