Adorable property, close to downtown Harper’s Ferry, the brewery and Maryland Heights. Property was very well stocked. Our only complaints were the jagged/sharp edges of the sheet metal in the shower. The mattress was also quite uncomfortable. Otherwise, we would greatly enjoyed our stay!
Pros: close to Harper’s Ferry. Quiet and very peaceful setting. Water pressure in the shower was fantastic. Cons: the walkway is quite unstable with larger round rocks making up the walkway with the parking area about 60’ from the door. There was no outside lighting which was a bit unnerving when having to let the dog out at night. The railing to the staircase was quite loose and the huge opening on the second floor to the stairs was a bit surprising, someone could easily take a nasty fall. The TV wouldn’t turn on, glad I had my tablet. Long and short the property could be cleaned up, notably the pile of stuff behind the building, and the interior refreshed a little.

Thank you for staying at the silo We would like to clarify a few points regarding your concerns.
The rear of the building is not part of the guest experience and serves no purpose in accessing or enjoying the property’s amenities. We are therefore unsure why you felt it necessary to venture behind the building in the first place?
Additionally, solar lights are provided outside the property for illumination. The stone walkway is approximately three feet wide, and the property sits on a full acre of land, providing ample space on either side of the walkway for guests to walk directly to the silo if they prefer not to use the stone path. The property’s layout, outdoor setting, and natural surroundings are accurately represented, and guests have plenty of space to navigate the grounds. We appreciate constructive feedback, but it is important to distinguish between an actual deficiency in the accommodations and concerns arising from exploring areas that are not necessary to the stay experience.

Advertised as having AC. I assumed it would have a mini split or at least a window unit. The top floor has a floor unit that vents outside through the window that did almost nothing. It was unbearably hot inside. First floor only has a fan. Although the host is not in control of the weather I felt that it was false advertising to say the place has AC.
My adult daughter and I stayed for one night just to get away very cute and quaintA little chilly sleeping even with the heater onOverall, just what we expected
The host was extremely responsive and the house was lovely!

The silo was cute. A little small for our liking, but it was a place to rest our heads. The location was excellent and fairly close to hiking, biking trails, as well as the towns near by.
A very unique place to stay! It was clean and well stocked, nicely decorated. It was easy to find and no issue with parking. We didn’t have time to use the sauna and couldn’t get a good fit going in the pit, so didn’t use all of the amenities.
Cozy and clean. The decor was very pleasant and everything worked as advertised. We had a lovely post Christmas, pre New Year retreat. Wonderful time and great location!!
Very charming and spacious silo! Very quiet and comfortable. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

This place was nice but more like glamping. The property really looked a bit worn. Just an fyi. When it rains you hear every raindrop. The shower is a little weird set up. Stairway to the bedroom was a bit weary. A sliding gate or rail for the upstairs so no one would tumble down the stairs. We stayed 4 nights. It is close to a lot activities and towns.
Very cute and unique property. The sauna was an added bous. Quiet area and a short car ride to a lot of activities. We will definitely be staying there again!
We needed a place to land for one night during our drive from Maine to Georgia and the Silo was perfect! Very cute and the upstairs bed was very comfy. It’s a bit tight for a third adult on the sleeper but worked out fine for us. We absolutely loved Harper’s Ferry and certainly wished we had more time to spend here!
Pros- close to activities, cute home, large outdoor area, supplied coffee & variety of shower soaps. Great water pressure in shower. Fire pit was nice, need to take kindling. Bathrobes provided. Cons- stairs are treacherous. Railing is not attached properly. Weeds are taking over property. Walkway is hard to walk on. AC unit works but VERY loud right beside bed. We were only allowed 1 towel & 1 washcloth for 3 night stay. I asked for more, was told no. Had to sweep patio and clean outdoor table before using. Could use more shelves, small table in shower & bedroom. Plenty of spoons & forks, but, only 2 knives. Maybe someone stole some??? Nice for 2 people, but, would be very tight for 4.
Very nice place. Staying in a silo was a unique experience. It snowed while we were there and it was beautiful. We would definitely stay again. There is a lot to see and do in Harper's Ferry and the surrounding area.
The property was as described but there were no cleaning supplies or extra shower towels/wash cloths. Also the keurig pod in the machine was still filled with old coffee and the pullout mattress downstairs had dirty sheets on them.
My daughter and I stayed here for a weekend getaway. It was such a great location and the sweetest house. The house was incredibly unique, clean and had a great outdoor space. The only thing guest should plan additionally for is the cell phone service. Verizon costumers may find the service spotty in the Harpers Ferry location so take pictures or write down the check in information.

Thanks so much for staying at the silo! We have free wifi for our guests always available for use during your stay!
The banister was loose in two place. At the bottom. The first one, and further up. Felt dangerous. No stool to reach glasses on shelf. I could reach mugs, but had to climb on a stool to get a glass. Did not feel like a safe option. The hot water ran out after 1 shampoo. I was not in long, hadn’t had a chance to wash my body.Loved everything else! Great design, plenty of amenities, and the sauna was a great bonus.
