Direct waterfront, a 15 minute boat ride to Wingaersheek beach or Gloucester Harborfront . Faces west over the river for epic sunsets. Bring your kayak and/or outboard boat and access ocean from the tidal dock. 1.5 miles to route 128 and 1/2 mile from West Gloucester train station to Boston. Quiet neighborhood, not for loud or late parties. NO SMOKING, NO PETS. NO GATHERING OTHER THAN THOSE ON LEASE.

wonderful stay and wonderful host!

The house was beautiful and extremely comfortable, with lots of thoughtful features (like motion-activated night lights that helped you avoid walking into walls if you need to use the bathroom in the middle of the night (!) and a hookup for a computer monitor, keyboard and mouse for remote work). The porch was our favorite place to be, and watching the tide come in and out was incredibly relaxing. Access to the water was unbeatable - we were able to swim from the dock every day, and kayaked to/from Wingaersheek Beach on two different days. The host was super helpful, answered messages by text almost immediately, and even arranged for us to retrieve a forgotten item the day after we'd left. Strongly recommend this place!

Great location

Great location to easily get around Gloucester, the boat dock was awesome to easily reach the beach. Enjoyed the wildlife including a resident eagle! Enjoyed the screened in porch for meals, quiet reading, cozy couch and hammock!

Something for everyone - especially the view!

My family had a great time at Rick's property. Rick was helpful and kind and made sure we had everything we needed, including some guidance on boating with the river tides. We boated, beached the white sands of Wingaersheek, walked the beautiful Stage Fort Park and waterfront, and spent a day at Bearskin Neck followed by a refreshing swim at front beach in Rockport. We cooked almost all of our meals at home in the roomy, well stocked kitchen. Lots of different areas for hanging out or hiding out for some alone time with a good book. We saw Osprey dive for fish and a Bald Eagle as well. This spot has is all! Hope so much to be back!

Stanwood Pt Home, July 2019

Nice, clean, comfortable home with private dock for easy access to Annisquam river and various destinations around Gloucester & Rockport. The view from the upper deck is gorgeous. Lower level seating area also offers a great space for enjoying the view and yard games.

Our family has enjoyed living on Little River since 2003, where right from the dock we take the boat to and from Wingaersheek Beach every weekend. Or spend the afternoon on the kayaks. Loving life with the birds.

Why they chose this property

It's like waterfront Wild Kingdom. Fabulous view of the setting sun. Arrive by boat or launch from the a small public ramp down the street. Boat or kayak to Wingersheek Beach, Jones Creek or navigate the Cut Bridge and tie up in Gloucester Harbor or on Rocky Neck. With plenty of parking, a standard kitchen and a variety of spaces, this property offers enough elbow room for longer stays. It's a little more than a mile to the highway and to Gloucester's downtown where nightlife is as interesting as the coastline.

What makes this property unique

Waterfront. Dock. Sunset. Kayak and canoe. Bird song all day long. It's very clean. Comfortable beds with very good sheets.
