Wonderful house - large gathering spaces inside. Great outdoor space - just needs a little TLC to clean it up, lots of cobwebs, etc. Great location on Lake Norman.

Our family of 11 (which included a 6 yr old, two 3 yr olds, and two babies) stayed for four nights and everyone agreed it was the most beautiful, best property we've stayed in (and we travel a lot)!The house itself is GORGEOUS, huge with plenty of room for everyone to sprawl out...the view of the lake was spectacular and the beach was perfect for our littles. We made lots of use from the kayaks and paddleboard provided (they even had life jackets for everyone!), caught a fish from the dock, and had an incredible evening under the gazebo as we celebrated the 1st birthday of one of our babies! The house has everything you could possibly need...basic supplies are included, there is a double oven (HEAVEN when cooking for that many people), huge fridge and freezer, game room in garage, beach towels, location close to grocery stores, etc. It was a magical long week-end and we definitely hope to be back in the future! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

A first birthday under the gazebo by the lake might be the sweetest celebration we've heard about all year! With kids from babies to six, it sounds like this home handled the whole beautiful chaos, from kayaks and dock fishing to that double oven feeding all eleven of you. Coming from a family that travels a lot, being called the best property you've stayed in means the world. We'd absolutely love to be part of the next family gathering!

We thought the living room furniture reclined but all of the power packs were removed. Unfortunately, my mother needed a reclining chair but was unable to sit on the furniture without it. The outdoor area could use some upkeep.

Amazing house, wonderful location!

Spacious, well appointed home with a fantastic Lakeview and beach. Tons of space for family to spread out and entertain themselves in various ways. High-end furnishings throughout.

Beautiful house with plenty of sleeping space

The house was just as advertised, very clean with nice amenities and activities. Service was excellent when we accidentally locked ourselves out!

Fun getaway weekend with friends

We had a blast. The home was gorgeous and had everything we needed. It was modern and beautiful but cozy at the same time. We spent the entire Saturday on the kayaks and lounging on the private beach area. 10/10 would go back again for sure!

FANTASTIC STAY

Our family and friends stayed at the beautiful house for two nights. It has everything we needed! The children enjoyed the game room and outdoor equipment for water fun!! The house is very beautiful and spacious. I will definitely return to this beautiful property.

Phenomenal Stay

The property was absolutely beautiful!! My family and I were there for a graduation dinner for my daughter and it was the perfect house and location. Nothing for us to do but bring the food, everything else was supplied. The lake and fire pit were great especially at night. It was clean and all the appliances were up to date. I highly recommend this property.

Fun stay at LKN!

Great stay! We had a lot of fun on the lake and the beach/dock were a dream. If you’re bringing your boat like we did, just note the closest public boat ramp is only 2 miles away (inland sea marina). We paid $5 to put it in the water and tied it up to the dock outside. We were not able to use the boat lift.

Beautiful area

Property was beautiful home was very large and modern. They could use better housekeepers. Being on the lake was awesome. Enjoyed the kayaks and bbq area. Too many things not working so I doubt I would rent that place again. Also too expensive

Thank for Thanksgiving

I was so happy to find this house with six bedrooms that accommodate my family for Thanksgiving holiday this place is absolutely amazing. Love the big table that we could all sit around and have Thanksgiving dinner the openness of the big room was perfect for watching TV and playing games. The outdoor kitchen was great we cook steaks one evening and hamburgers the next had fires in the pit went kayaking on the water one day played many games of ping-pong and air hockey this place has somuch to offer and would recommend it to anyone

This property was one of the best properties I've rented unlike last year's cabin in Gatlinburg that I rented through Avantstay that had leaks in our master bedroom front walls sticky floors no silverware Etc

Vacations with family

We had a great experience at the property! When we arrived we found it to be a beautiful home, just as advertised. Clean and ready inside. On the back it needed a quick cleanup so we contacted the company that manages the property and they were quick and efficient. Great managing company by the way! Always reachable and ready to help. The house has many amenities to enjoy, and the kayaks and lake were a treat for citiy people. Recommended!

UNC Charlotte graduation

The home is simply beautiful. The property details on the listing accurately aligned with the actual property logistics and floor plan and the house was equipped and stocked with more than what we needed and used. The management team was proactive with an arrival day text to advise of contact methods in case we needed assistance with anything during our stay. The home entry details were very easy and Avant was gracious and even allowed us to gain entry an hour before scheduled. We have nothing but praise and gratitude.

Interesting stay

The property is beautiful. The location is wonderful. They need to hire a new cleaning service. There is an inch of dust on all baseboards, dirty pots and pans, crumbs all over the knife block, spiders and cobwebs everywhere. Don’t get me started on the glitter left over from holiday vacationers. The king bed in the master bedroom is actually two twin beds pushed together…very odd! Then there were the raccoons in the attic. The management office was responsive to the issue but it required staff to visit twice daily. One raccoon was caught and the other was trapped on our check out date.

Our stay at Laid Back Lake

We had a wonderful time. The house was very welcoming and really had all the input that we needed. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the main floor had everything that we could want. The kitchen had all the utensils and anything that we could ask for...We thank you for having the hose work correctly; it was so practical to have the hose available for us to take the sand off our feet. Also thank you bringing someone to take care of the koi in adding a water flow; we would have liked to have a ladder installed but I can understand that perhaps there wasn't any room for a ladder- also it was good of you to remove the rusted detached ladder. We enjoyed the kayaks and the paddle board. Also the multiple cooking area outside was terrific! We also enjoyed the the "play" room; we enjoyed all the games. I thought the deck was a little rough...some of the capitals were missing on the posts; found some of the wood planks to be a bit rough; also there were many areas where there was dust-like accumulations and threads on the window sills and the table on the porch including ants;

Our family group had a great time at the lake house. The house was very spacious and had every amenity you would want for a vacation. We especially enjoyed the beach area, the kayaks, and the shade during the hot days. The kids loved the game room and basketball hoop. The house does need a little TLC. The first floor shower handle is loose and hard to use (the water was very hot) and the last step is split and the railing on the outside deck stairs is loose. We would definitely rent Laid Back Lake again!
