Evergreen Escape is a spacious, nearly 4000 square foot chalet located in the foothills of Mt. Hood National Forest, a short 20 min drive to the slopes and 1 hour from Portland. Tucked away on an acre of land, this mountain cabin is the perfect family mountain escape, surrounded by old growth forest, a babbling brook on the property, and the sounds of nearby Sandy River. This unique PNW property is the perfect spacious getaway for your family vacation, corporate retreat, couples’ getaway, or anything in between! The home has custom details that are warm and inviting- there are 5 spacious bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, high ceilings with beautiful log accents. There are three living spaces- when you enter the home, 20 foot ceilings and a large living room welcome you and in the loft you will find a cozy TV nook and game room. Enjoy the natural surroundings of this gorgeous lodge home, close to all that the mountain has to offer!
HEAT / COOLING
There is central air and heating with a central thermostat that covers the whole home. There is also a wood burning stove that has the capacity to warm the whole home during the winter months. The whole stove gets hot during use, posing a risk for unattended children. When accepting this booking the entire party accepts these risks and responsibilities.

Traveling with children? We have some things to make your stay a little more comfortable. Please connect with us before your stay so that we can make these things available to you - travel crib, high chair, toys and books for children 0-5.
OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Please read through the information to make sure we are the right cabin getaway for you. The person booking the cabin is required to share this information with all people in the reservation. If you have any questions feel free to contact us!
*We love being able to share our family cabin with you! Please be respectful of the space and belongings. The person booking is responsible for any damages during the stay.
*15 people are welcome to rent and use the space at a time- any more people than that on the property will be asked to leave. There are 5+ parking spaces available in the driveway, including access to a 3-car garage. Please do not park other places around the property or neighborhood.
*The person booking the space must be present at check-in and checkout. There is no transferring cabin reservations.
*We are located on 1 acres of old growth forest and creek beds. Exploring is encouraged but please use caution.
*No smoking, parties, events or photo shoots.
*The cabin has a wood burning stove, second story windows, decks with no railing and a second-floor balcony with railing- all of which pose risks for unattended children. When accepting this booking the entire party accepts these risks and responsibilities.
*We have two cameras on the property to protect our guests during their stay and the cabin while we are away. One is located at the front door and the other at the back door used only for check-in purposes.
*We have a strict no pet policy due to family allergies. Anyone in violation of this policy will be asked to leave.
*The cabin has a sensitive septic system. Do not flush anything other than toilet paper in the toilet.
*The cabin is located in a rural neighborhood. Please be mindful of neighbors and their property. Quiet hours are 10pm - 7am.
*Our cabin is located on a gravel road. We recommend AWD when accessing in snowy or icy conditions.
*Summer months usually mean a burn ban is issued to protect the national forest. Guests are required to comply - no fires, fireworks or open flame of any kind. If the burn ban is violated quests will be asked to leave the cabin immediately.
*Due to being in the foothills of Mt. Hood National forest - power outages can occur with high winds, heat and snow. These outages are usually short. We will communicate these outages with guests as soon as we are made aware by the power company. We also have a hard-wired generator available in the event of extended outages.
