Villa ohana is a self contained eden

Right on the water on magens bay, a sparkling pool with a big deck. A fantastically equipped kitchen and a nice grill. All this and iguanas! This was our second stay at villa ohana and our whole family loves it here.

Nice getaway on St. Thomas

This was probably the best house we have vacationed in on St. Thomas or St. John. Very well furnished, everything worked and the location was great - really didn't need to leave since we had direct access to Magens Bay and a nice pool and outdoor area. Would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely Amazing

Cannot say enough about this property, the owners and property manager were very easy to deal with and gave great instructions and suggestions. The house is even more beautiful than the pictures indicate and very well designed/laid out, with all the amenities you could possibly need. The A/C works well for when you're not on or in the water - really good snorkeling right off the dock - variety of fish, sea turtles, barracuda, octopus...tons of iguanas and pelicans...just great wildlife to enjoy. Absolutely would recommend 100%

What a view!

Our family of 7 spent 6 nights at Villa Ohana. The house was beautiful but the view was even better. In the last couple days we noticed the turtles swimming in the turquoise waters below the house. We spent just about all of our week outdoors sitting under cover and by the pool. We walked down to the water a couple days and spent some time just floating. We had chef Carmen deliver food for one night and for some lunches during the week. The food was delicious. I agree with some of the other reviewers that some of the furniture and appliances are fatigued but we would come back again in a heartbeat.

Extraordinary in every way

Villa Ohana is amazing. The house is newly decorated and immaculate. The layout of the house is perfect for a sizable group with ensuite bathrooms for all the bedrooms. Our first impression of the master bedroom was pure awe. I walked in the room, opened the shades, slid open the glass doors and took in the paroramic view of Magen's Bay. Almost every day, I would walk down to steps (all 107 of them) to landing on the bay and launch a kayak. We swam off the landing many times and being right on the water was a huge benefit. It's an easy 15 minute kayak to Magen's Bay Beach, and on the way we would be surrounded by diving pelicans, sea turtles, and even couple of rays. This might seem a little thing, but the kitchen was wonderfully well equipped. Honestly, I think it's the property that we have rented that actually had nice knives! It was a wonderful kitchen to cook in. It felt like the hosts really cared. The property manager (Cheri) was wonderful. We were staying for a while, and she checked in regularly and took great care of. I honestly have no negatives to share.

Magical Escape

From the moment we arrived at the driveway my breath was taken away. The views are just absolutely stunning. The house has a wonderful layout with lots of privacy and more than enough room for our group of 4 adults and 5 kids. We loved being away from the hustle and bustle of a typical resort. We truly felt like we were in our own little paradise. The house is well supplied, everything you could need in the kitchen and bathrooms. Plentiful towels, linens, pillows, puzzles, games, and just about every supply. The pool area deck and the private beach were our favorite. We saw lots of lizards, some sea turtles, little crabs and fish. Fun to snorkel and explore along the shore. Easy enough to travel into town and explore beyond the property with a jeep. Driving here is intimidating at first but we got used to all the hills and crazy turns. The only negatives were the heat and the mosquitoes. Bug repellant is absolutely necessary outside but worked well. The fans in the kitchen and family area worked very well to help cool things off, but we found ourselves going to bed early because the bedrooms are the areas with air conditioning. I was a little hesitant about the open showers but they were fabulous! The bathrooms do not have AC so I didn't freeze or feel uncomfortable. It was very relaxing and the views from the master shower are gorgeous. We did have to make sure to space out showering with our large group because the hot water would run out but it wasn't really an issue. We cooked most of the time and found we had everything we needed. Love that there are 2 refrigerators. We did find an online service for restaurant delivery so we ordered fantastic pizza our last night. This vacation was just what we needed. Total relaxation, away from it all with the most beautiful views I've ever seen. The water in St. Thomas is so crystal clear and refreshing. Scott was wonderful to work with, answering any questions and giving wonderful suggestions. Thank you!!

Amazing Property with Breathtaking Views!

The property was very clean and well maintained. The kitchen was stocked with anything you would need to prepare meals. We hired Chef Josh to prepare a few meals for us. They were excellent! We were looking to rent a high chair and pack and play for our youngest granddaughter but the owner was kind enough to provide them. There are also kayaks, pool tools, a baby pool and snorkeling equipment to use during your stay. This was just the perfect house and location for our family!

Beautiful Home, Gorgeous Views!

9 friends stayed in this home for a 50th birthday celebration. Spacious and comfortable with beautiful views. Love the rock staircase that takes you to a little private beach area on the water. Pool is small but is overcome by all other amenities. Property isn’t the easiest to get to given it’s nestled in the Peterborg peninsula, but that’s part of its appeal. Would definitely look to book this home again in the future!

Beautiful & Relaxing!

We had 5 couples stay at the property for a birthday celebration. Cherie was very helpful and had some great recommendations for us. She was also super responsive which was appreciated. I've worked with other property managers before that weren't as top notch as her! The property offers many options for a large group - lounging around near the pool, swimming in the ocean or to magen's bay, kayaking, paddle boarding taking a walk to the end of the point. Everyone was able to do their own thing if they wanted. The layout of the property great for our group. There was one bedroom away from the rest of the bedrooms on the first floor. 2 other bedrooms on the 1st floor of the house that overlooked the pool/patio. These shared a bathroom. The 2nd floor features 2 bedrooms. As some other reviews mentioned, the furniture was a bit tired but it didn't bother us. We spent a majority of our time out on the patio near the pool soaking up the sun. I could see getting into the ocean a bit difficult if you're not a comfortable swimmer or steady since you need to climb on slippery rocks to get in/out. The water was absolutely beautiful. Our biggest challenge was the driveway. It is VERY steep and we would bottom out our rental every time. We made the best of it but I would highly recommend a jeep. Overall - this is a great rental property. Would love to rent it again!

A Special Family Reunion

We hadn’t been together as a family because of COVID. So it was wonderful to be together again. We were a family of 10, and the house was spacious enough for all of us. We were expecting medicine from the mainland, and it wasn’t there on our arrival. Cheri, the property manager, sent out an S.O.S, and we were able to have enough until US Customs cleared it. Cheri had also given me names of a driver, chef, and the recommendation of a boat company. Yogi, the driver, was always available; he would drive us to our destination and, then, pick us up. Island, the chef, prepared and served delicious meals. Everyone enjoyed the snorkeling off the catamaran. The house is not far from Magen’s Bay, and one morning, the younger members of our group swam there. I had rented a car but canceled it. We were all so happy not to drive around St Thomas. Yogi, the driver, was always available. The chef, Island, prepared and served delicious meals. The coffee maker broke, and Cheri had a new one when we returned from an excursion. The house is on the water. We were able to swim and snorkel without leaving the grounds. We would give the house and Cheri a 5 star rating!

Great Views, Luxury Price

This property is in a great location, beautiful views and ample space within the home. There were a few things that I wish I had known, to manage expectations upon arrival. The house has wear and tear within it (doors, appliances, items in the home). The beach is 89 steps down and wonderful but a little bit of hike and to access the water you must climb rocks and be prepared for choppy waters (something to consider if traveling with older family members). To me, with the price tag being luxury status, the house itself didn't match that. Overall the house is within a beautiful area, the views and privacy are outstanding - just about what you need as a family/group that you are traveling with.

Relaxing getaway with friends/family

Cheri was great at getting is acclimated and enjoying our trip as soon as the bags hit the room. The refrigerators and pantry was stocked, house was beautiful and clean. The kids loved the pool, while the adults enjoyed the large outdoor living quarters. The private chef for most of the trip allowed for complete relaxation and family time with minor work. The beach/Ocean area was Quant but very enjoyable. Megans bay nearby gave the kids all the beach and 3-4' waves they could handle. Everyone was asleep by 8 or 9 most nights and up early to do it again the next day. 100% recommend this Home for future vacationers!

Wonderful Vacation

I am so happy that we chose to vacation in St. Thomas. The house was spacious and clean and had everything we needed from extra towels to a well-stocked kitchen for cooking. The views are beautiful and it’s very easy to go to the beach nearby. Working with the property manager was great and she made many recommendations to help us plan. We were able to go fishing, get massages at the house, have a chef for dinner and go to some great restaurants. We can’t wait to come back.

Last minute getaway

The property is just breathtaking. The view from the house is insane. The rooms were spacious and all had AC. We spent most of the day outside by the pool and the beach. The beach is a bit rocky so just be careful. Something to note, the common area inside the house doesn't have AC. We hired a chef for our stay. Cheri was very helpful throughout our stay. USVI is now our new vacation destination!

Disappointed with Service & business practice

The good: The Location of Serena Villa was ideal. There was ample space for all 10 of us. The views were spectacular from everywhere in the home. The amenities offered like paddle boards, kayaks, snorkeling equipment, and pool were adequate. The BAD: Scott communicated to us that he would give us a 10% discount off the final price if we were to book with him. It was 9 PM that night and I told Scott I would reserve it the next morning. I reserved the condo the next morning @ 8 AM and Scott would not honor the discount he offered. Scrupulous business practice from Scott. Upon arriving at the condo, there was a foul stench coming from the master bedroom. We looked everywhere and could not locate the source of the smell. Once we opened the baby bed crib, there was a carcass of a dead rat. Needless to say, we switched bedrooms with our boys as my wife refused to sleep in that room. Coming from New Orleans LA, we are used to the heat and humidity. Serena Villa was hot as there is no AC in the main living room, dining room, and kitchen. Unfortunately the bedroom AC’s could not keep up. It was hot and unbearable at night and needless to say, we did not get a decent night sleep during our stay. We would not stay at Serena Villa again.

Excellent host, property manager and wonderful property

We had planned a sailing trip and bad weather forced us to get to shore earlier than we had expected. Scott and Cheri were quick communicators and flexible with our urgent check-in needs. Cheri went the extra mile to get the house prepared for us. The accommodations were just as described online with all the beauty and Caribbean views marketed. The house was well stocked with towels, toiletries, cookware, beach things. We had a lovely stay and will be back!
