Welcome to our updated, cozy 2 bed 2 bath basement suite with a private entrance. You'll have the entire basement to yourself. We've done everything we can to make it a place we'd love to stay. We hope you love staying in it too! Entrance is through the gate and around behind the left of the garage.
You can't find a better location to stay when visiting the greater Salt Lake Area. We're right between the two Cottonwood canyons within 28 min or less from 4 world class ski resorts, back country skiing, rock climbing, biking, and many more activities up the canyons. You're near the 3 major freeways (I-15, I-80, and I-215) which means you can get anywhere you want in Utah. Even if you need to go beyond the Salt Lake Valley the freeway access makes it easy to get on the way.
We offer a fully functional and stocked home and kitchen. We try to offer everything you'd need to live here while staying here. The kitchen includes all the needed cookware and appliances to make a great home cooked meal (e.g. spice rack, oven/range, blender, microwave, keurig and drip coffee makers, air fryer, instapot, crock pot, rice cooker, sugar, flour, butter, knife set, serving utensils, etc). All bathrooms are stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and bath soap. Linens and towels are provided. There's a smart TV, high chair, toys and games for all ages, a dedicated work space, and more.
You'll have access to dedicated off street parking. You're welcome to park 1 car on the far left of the driveway when facing the house. Please make sure the cars are not blocking access to the garage or pull through driveway. If you have more vehicles than fit on the left of the driveway you're welcome to park on the street.
While the apartment is updated and nice, we do live upstairs with a 2 year old Bernedoodle and 2 older cats. The home is 30 years old with good bones but you will likely hear foot noise from us and/or the animals and some soft noise from conversations. We've added noise proofing in the ceiling above the bedrooms to help with this but it's not perfect. We'll do everything we can to be accommodating. We want you to enjoy our home and its location as much as we do. If you need us to be a little quieter, the temperature adjusted, or anything else please message us right away.
We're both active outdoor recreational-ists. We're often starting our day with a quick morning backcountry ski tour or the gym. If you'd like to chat about the local spots we're happy to share what we know and try to give some pointers.

Very comfortable two bedroom apartment. Nice kitchen, easy to work in and is very well equipped. Large bedrooms and roomy bathrooms. Comfortable sofa for relaxing. Close to the Cottonwood canyons ski areas. You can certainly drive but the public UTA bus is very convenient and drops you off at the “front doors” of the four ski areas. Close to an excellent market, Harmons.

This place is wonderful and we will definitely be back! So clean and kid friendly. The beds were so comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed (and more). The location was perfect as it wasn’t far from any of the places we went to like the aquarium, water park, the stadium. 10/10 recommend!!!
This apartment is perfect for skiing the Cottonwood Canyon ski areas (used UTA, 5-10 minutes away) and driving to Deer Valley is comfortable on weekdays.Good sized kitchen and very well equiped! Comfortable sofa for TV viewing; comfortable beds; nice laundry room, easy parking.
We love this place. The hosts were outstanding. They were excellent! This place lacks nothing. Its clean and updated. This unit is a basement apartment but we did not hear the owners up above. We will be returning in the future when we visit our daughter in Utah.

Check in process, instructions and communication was all wonderful. The basement is spacious and the bonus of 2 bathrooms was perfect. For those concerned about staying cool in the summer without your own thermostat, we had no problem at all. All beds are memory foam with plenty of bedding. Great place to stay!

Wow, what a wonderful space! My kids and I stayed here for 2 nights, and it was absolutely amazing! There was plenty of space for the 5 of us to spread out and be comfortable. It was located in a great area, and it was easy to get to all the places we wanted to visit. We would definitely recommend staying here!
We were pretty centrally located to all the kids and grandchildren. Sure are in Orem, some in Draper, the rest in West Jordan. Easy access to everything we needed for a great trip!
Our family enjoyed the spacious layout and accommodations. Made our ski trip to Alta a breeze. Communication with Chris was a breeze too. Proximity to shops, restaurants, grocery was also very good. Would definitely stay here with family again. Thanks

Perfect spot for the five of us were able to hit 3 ski resorts quite easily. Loved the spaciousness and cleanliness. Washer & Dryer a total plus. Chris was communicative and made things easy for us. Would stay again in a second.

We traveled to Utah with my wife, father in law and I to do some end of the season spring skiing. The vrbo was perfect! Very clean, organized, and had all accommodations needed. The location is also great in a nice neighborhood and only 30 min to Brighton and Solitude. Our host Chris was very friendly, knowledgeable with great communication. Will definitely be saving this vrbo for future ski trips.

Newly renovated 2 BR basement apartment in Cottonwood Heights. 25 minute drive to Little Cottonwood Canyon resorts (Snowbird, Alta) and 20 minutes to Big Cottonwood Canyon resorts (Solitude, Brighton). Very close to the 215 freeway so only about 40 minutes to the Park City resorts. If you're a skier, or outside of winter a hiker and/or mountain biker this location can't be beat!
All the appliances in the fully stocked kitchen are new, as are the full sized washer and dryer, and also the bathrooms. Plenty of space for up to 8 guests. The area has lots of shopping, grocery stores, restaurants, and is only about 15 minutes to downtown SLC.
The hosts Cheree and Chris (and Millie the 2 year old Bernadoodle) couldn't be nicer, in fact we became FB friends and will probably keep in touch in the future. Next time my wife and I come to SLC to ski we will definitely stay here again!

We recently stopped in SLC for a few days of skiing while driving from Seattle to Boulder. This basement suite turned out to be the perfect base of operations for our adventure.
Although the title says “cozy” don’t read that to mean “small”. It’s actually quite spacious and the three of us had plenty of room to spread out and be comfortable.
In addition to being roomy, it was also both immaculate and incredibly well equipped. There’s a laundry room with boot driers and storage for ski gear. The bathrooms were modern, super clean and well equipped. Likewise, the kitchen is stocked with every appliance and utensil you could possibly want.
The single hitch that we came across is that the hot water in the shower takes a bit to actually get hot. Probably due to a long run from the heater to the shower head. But once there, it’s HOT and with plenty of pressure.
The location itself is great. Mere minutes to Little Cottonwood Canyon as well as easy access to the rest of SLC.
Communication with the host was timely and informative and the check-in process could not have been easier. The entire rental experience was frictionless - easily one of the best I’ve had.
The host has clearly put a lot of thought and effort into making this a great place to stay and we’ll certainly be back the next time we’re in SLC.
