Awesome LAKE front cottage offers relaxation and fun! Great for Families!

La Vida Loca Cottage offers a relaxing get-a-way and lake front enjoyment. The house is perfect for leisure weekends as well as fun venue for entertaining the family for a week with kayaking, boat rentals nearby for water sports and fishing from the dock.

The southern exposure on open water, and wrap around covered porch is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the predominantly southern breeze. A fresh cup of coffee in the morning on the deck overlooking the lake is a must. The cottage offers a large living area with vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, expansive windows, a spacious well-appointed kitchen, and large informal dining bar. Outside the approximately 800 square feet of decking creates the perfect outdoor environment where you and lucky guests will enjoy east facing open water views and unlimited entertainment possibilities. In addition, there is a private boathouse with large sun deck.

We have 2 Kayaks that are available for our guests use.

The house is in a clean and safe well-maintained neighborhood.

We had a great stay! There is plenty of comfortable seating and beautiful sunrises every morning. The outdoor porch area also had loads of seating. The kitchen appliances were nice and new. We were very comfortable in this home for a girls weekend. Everyone had their own comfy bed.

This was my second time staying at this beautiful lake house, and it was just as wonderful as the first. The host is amazing very responsive and attentive. The property is spacious, spotless, and offers a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. This trip was extra special because it was the first time I’ve taken my father on a getaway since his recent retirement, and he’s already talking about coming back. A truly memorable and restful stay!

Great Lake Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay here. It's a quick drive from DFW and the house is located on a great area of the lake. The private dock and great patio made for a wonderful trip. We will be back.

Great Vacation Home

We had a great stay, clean and comfortable. We stayed in for dinners, good selection of dishes, cookware, etc. Only stayed 2 nights this trip but will definitely return to this lovely home. Kids loved the yard to play in and also the air hockey table! Would highly recommend this home for future stays!

The house is fully stocked with all that you need to have a comfortable stay. Plenty of room in the house and on the porch. Because we had a lot of rain we utilized the covered patio and it was awesome.

The home was very clean, open, and bright. It was a comfortable place to be. The back windows overlooking the lake and the back porch were incredible. The owner of the property was very considerate and responsive. We enjoyed out stay tremendously.

Love the lake and the sunrises and the peace it brings me. The holiday weekends are great for lots of fun and activity too! Most wonderful place!

Why they chose this property

We named this house 'La Vida Loca' (The crazy life) because there is so much to do. No mater what time of year there are many activities to enjoy around Cedar Creek Lake. What we like most though is sitting and enjoying nature from the porch. There is a great deal of wildlife around the lake-- birds, fish and animals. The lake is a stopping off point for many birds as they migrate for the different seasons. The porch faces Southeast so it is shaded in the afternoon. In the summer there is usually a nice breeze. The sunrises in the mornings can be spectacular.

What makes this property unique

Excellent water! There are two large swings on the back porch, and a sitting area on the dock. The water is good for swimming, boating, water skiing and fishing.
