It was the perfect location just minutes walk from the beach. Shaded parking … a minute walk from the shuttle bus for the music festival. 10/10 would recommend and will stay here again

we had a good five days only thing i would have liked was a washer and dryer. we did not cook but a dishwasher would be an added plus

Nice stay

We would definitely recommend! This unit was very clean and in a good location. Melissa was very quick to respond and accommodate our request to check in early. Our only complaint was the person in the unit above us was running a vacuum at midnight, which woke us up and only one dryer in the laundry facility was working.

Best vacation in years!

I was very pleased with the property and location. Check in was very easy. Everything we needed from a grocery store, dining out, beach, dog pond/park and attractions were all within 5-15 minutes. The lodging was clean upon arrival minus feeling sand on floor and the stove/burner holders a little dirty. Unit was comfortable and provided EVERYTHING needed for our stay minus food and toiletries for the 4 people. There was also beach items provided such as towels, chairs, umbrella and even toys for kids. I definitely will be booking again. Melissa was very quick to reply to my questions or any concerns.

Dapper Dolphin

We liked the property. It was reasonably clean and had everything we needed for 2 nights. We were most impressed with Melissa, the owner. After a minor problem, we contacted her, and within 15 minutes she had shown up and corrected the problem. She was prompt and responsive. I would recommend this property.

Perfect space for my little family

We had an amazing stay at Dapper Dolphin! Everything was clean, updated, and decorated so cute. The bed was comfortable and my two kids slept on the pullout couch and said it was comfortable. We had everything we needed there and the location was great. It was a very short distance across the small street straight onto the beach. The pool was never busy so we practically had it to ourselves and it was very clean. Check in and check out was super simple

Cleaning

Cute place and easy walk to beach. I don’t like that the mattress covering isn’t removed and cleaned between stays. The couch bed covering had gross stains on it. Also, there are way too many things to do for cleaning before you go to have to pay such a high cleaning fee. Who knows if the person before actually cleaned the dishes properly?!

Thank you for your stay at the Dapper Dolphin — we're glad you chose us! Our cleaning team does check the dishes after each guest's departure. If they find any unwashed dishes, they take care of cleaning them, and a charge is applied to the guest’s account accordingly. Regarding the mattress coverings: all our linens and quilts are thoroughly cleaned after every stay. Mattress covers are also changed regularly and are immediately replaced if stains are found. I do wish that, if there were any concerns or issues during your stay — especially something like a stained mattress cover — that I had been informed at the time, ideally with photos. This would have allowed us to address the issue promptly. In the future, please don’t hesitate to reach out during your stay if anything isn’t up to standard. We're always here to help and ensure you have a comfortable experience.

We Love Dapper Dolphin!

Room was clean and just as described in the listing. So cozy! Just a walk across the street to the beach! Convenient to town and all the good restaurants!! If you're bringing a pet be aware that the provided pet area isn't very large, but it works. Only complaint is wishing the parking spots underneath were a little bigger, but that's no fault of the owner whatsoever.

Clean and quiet

This was a small, clean, and tidy condo.It was just the right size for my husband, myself, and our dog. The bed was comfortable and the living room/ kitchen was perfect for our needs. Gulf Shores is not high on our vacation list. Probably will not return to the area. Condo was highly satisfactory.

A good experience!

This condo was perfect for me and my fiancé. It was small but it was perfect for the two of us and our dogs. I struggled to get in and called Melissa and she helped immediately. A small complaint I had was that it was so noisy. I heard everything that was happening above us and I woke up every day at 6 am because of it. This is to no fault of the owner of course, and maybe they were just loud people lol. We enjoyed the pool area when the beach was too rough for us to swim in. We stayed there for about two hours and we had it all to ourselves which was nice. Parking was a little tight but we were in a big truck so that was expected. The unit was mainly clean except for two fingernails that were left on the back of the couch (which to be honest I didn't think was a big deal at all lol) but other than that it was clean. I would stay here again but maybe next time have the guts to complain if the noise was bad again. A great stay for a small family.Thanks, Melissa!!

Was okay for pet owners

Upon arrival was unable to get into unit with password we had selected. Dishes had caked on food so had to wash prior to using. Floor was dirty so had to mop before walking around-some kind of black sooty substance. Pest control person showed up and attempted entry unannounced. Property manager insisted she sent a text-no text received. Pipes under sink busted. Unit was beside dumpster and with heat was sickening at times. Manager replied promptly with any issues we had. The location was across from beach with easy beach access. Restaurant, bar, convenience market, ice cream shop were within walking distance. Parking was not an issue. Pool was small but big enough for a small family.

Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry to hear about the difficulties you experienced during your stay. I appreciate your understanding regarding the prompt responses from the property manager on the electronic door code and the plumbing issue. On the other issues, management was not made aware of any issues with the property until after the guest had checked out. The guest broke house rules and checked out late. After receiving a fee for the late checkout, then management was made aware of issues mostly through this review. We will address the concerns mentioned to ensure future guests have a better experience. Thank you again for staying with us.

While road tripping with my family in 2018, one of our stops was in Gulf Shores. I fell in love as soon as I put my toes in the sugary white sands and heard my feet squeak when i walked. Within 6 months, our family decided to purchase a place for us and guests to enjoy. When I purchased my condo, I wanted to provide a clean, cozy home that welcomes pets as well. As your host, my goal is to provide a place you will want to come back to and visit year after year, not a cheap rental. I hope you come and stay with us and enjoy our little cottage as much as our family and our french bulldogs do. We look forward to accommodating you on your next beach vacation.
