Once again, we loved our stay at the Cove Cottage! We love the silence and beauty, and its proximity to so much good food and hiking. During this stay, we tried McLoon's Lobster Shack -- great food and gorgeous setting.

The cabin and surrounding area was private and quiet. The cabin was a beautiful Maine cottage with absolutely beautiful views of the cove! My dogs and I really enjoyed our stay. The property was perfect to sit and relax or take my dogs for a hike. The host made the cottage very dog friendly.
I had an absolutely wonderful week at the Cove Cottage. Beautiful views every morning until nightfall. Very quiet and private location and so easy to slip in a kayak into the cove right outside your back door.

Great little cottage in the cove with everything you need to relax and unwind. Location is the best for easy access to Rockland and Camden. We enjoyed kayaking and lobster at McCloons. Our dog loved swimming in the cove. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us.

This is a very well kept, comfortable and cozy property in an absolutely beautiful location. We had a wonderful time. The absolutely perfect weather that we had all week was a fantastic bonus, but we could tell that we would have enjoyed ourselves even on foggy, rainy days.

Beautiful little cabin on a quiet cove! We had a great time. If you’re looking for privacy off the beaten path this is perfect. But lots of driving to get to popular destinations well worth it for my family and I.

Thank you for you review. We’re so happy you enjoyed your vacation at our cabin on the cove.
My partner and I stayed here for an anniversary trip. Cove cottage was both a warm landing pad and a destination in itself. The views out of every window were beautiful, and the cove was a quiet and magical place. We were able to explore the coast, visiting Monhegan Island, and Acadia National Park. We drove to the top of Cadillac Mountain for the sunrise and got engaged! This spot will always hold a special place in our hearts, and we can’t wait to come back for another visit.

Check in was super easy, property is well maintained, bright with lots of windows, great views, well stocked kitchen, good amenities. There is plenty to do in surrounding areas, the beach is 10 minutes down the road, but there is acess to the water on the property. The host is easy to communicate with and friendly. We had a great time
The cabin is cozy and the location is picturesque. My family was able to really relax and enjoy the beauty of our surroundings!!

Hi Maria,
I’m glad you enjoyed your stay at Cove Cottage and I hope you return sometime in the future. I made a mistake when rating you as a client. I thought I was rating a different client. You should be 5’s across the board. I’m working with VRBO to change it. Hopefully this doesn’t cause any inconvenience .

We loved our stay at Cove Cottage! Vanessa was kind and communicative and made us feel very welcome. The cottage is comfortable and beautiful inside and out. It has everything you need and loads of natural light. The location — right on the water — is filled with wildlife and the rise and fall of the tides. Maine at its best! Close to Thomaston and Rockland and great restaurants within 5 minutes in St. George. Can’t wait to return!
Excellent! Tranquil indeed. Spent my time watching Canadian geese with their young. Watched osprey dive for food. Plenty of activity. Cozy cottage many things thought out and provided. Host was very responsive.
Beautiful location right next to the water. The view was magical whether it was foggy, sunrise, high-tide, low-tide, or when the water was still as glass. So many birds to watch and stars to see late at night while sitting around the fire pit. We worked ourselves into the cold but invigorating water a few times and our dog loved swimming and hunting for chipmunks. The place is cute and clean. The location is ideal - short drive to a beautiful beach, quaint lighthouse, great local restaurants, and within a 30 minute drive of Camden and Rockport. The hosts are lovely people and very responsive.

Rachel,
We’re so glad you had a nice stay at our cottage. We love sharing the place with others. Thank you for your kind words and we hope to see you again sometime.

This property was as lovely as advertised. I spent most of my time in the hammock or looking out the window. It was difficult to leave! My only comment is that the kitchen is not well provisioned. If you enjoy cooking, as I do, you will be frustrated by the lack of useful equipment. Next time, I’ll bring my own gear. Otherwise, a blissful experience, quiet and gorgeous.

We loved our stay at Cove Cottage. The location is ideal for a quiet, peaceful getaway - the property felt private and secluded with fantastic water views and nature all around - while also being a great launching pad to towns and activities in the surrounding area. The cottage itself was nice and clean with rustic charm. We had a great stay here!
We had a wonderful time at Seavey Cove. The views are breathtaking, the cabin was perfectly clean and contained everything we needed. The hosts were helpful with restaurant recommendations and kindly offered more bed linens for my daughter who visited at the tail end of our stay.Would definitely book again!

Susan, we are so glad you had a nice vacation at Cove Cottage. We hope you’ll book again.
Location, location, location. Accurate description. Right on the cove. Avian life a plenty. Ospreys, kingfishers, water birds. An occasional deer. Our highlight was a Great Horned Owl. Many very excellent dining experiences . Of course, Maine Top Notch lobster shacks. Local tavern restaurants. All kinds of excursions to one’s preference. Hiking trails. Sailing. Maine back roads. Light houses. Simply sit by the cove and meditate. We liked touring the Bath USN ship building facility. That we have repeat visited says everything. And we have thoughts of a third stay. Chill and enjoy

I'm a seventh grade English teacher at a local school. My husband works in Camden at a gift shop. We both love to travel, hike and enjoy the sea.
Why they chose this property
This property has been in my family since the mid 1700's. Part of the cabin was built in the 1930's and the newer section was added onto in the 1970's. The property is unique because it is private and the cabin literally sits on a small spit of land over looking the cove. There is a view of the water on three sides. Also, the cove is a beautiful emerald green due to the reflection of the surrounding trees.
What makes this property unique
It's rustic beauty and provides a peaceful place to relax and unwind!
