Stella's Sweet Place was indeed very sweet. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked with everything one would need from brewing coffee to cooking an entire meal. Appliances were clean and the place was very spacious, warm and cozy and located in a residential neighborhood that was nice and quiet.
This place was absolutely adorable. Perfect location for the event I was attending. I was in town for a family wedding and staying here allowed me to be close to the venue and still have the luxury of not being in a hotel and having to eat out all the time.
First, the important stuff: Beds and shower are great! Newer appliances and comfortable furniture. Plenty of easy parking. The property is in an older 4-plex, and those buildings have a distinct personality that I happen to enjoy (lived in one for over a decade) so I found it pleasing and it’s in a wonderful, walkable, quiet neighborhood. The building is very quiet—a little action as folks in the building get out the door to work in the mornings, but other than that, super quiet. Many restaurants nearby, and walking distance to the Seward Co-Op for groceries. The only things I found slightly bothersome are the (old, busted) mini-blinds, which they should ditch entirely, and the outlets. As an older place, some of the plug ins outlets were loose (as in, my phone charger block literally fell out of the plug in) and some plug ins are hiding behind furniture. Maybe they could switch out some of the lamps for those that have the usb plug-ins on the base so folks don’t have to stuggle with the plug ins to charge devices. If you stay here, throw a good power strip in your luggage, and you’ll save yourself some mild annoyance. Other than that, we had a great stay and would recommend this property. Great neighborhood in a great city!
Very quiet. Great beds/mattresses. Not fancy, but has everything you might need. Clean, but a few cobwebs around. Enjoyed morning coffee in the backyard & the Cardinals that perched on the fence. Good little cafe at the end of the block.
Overall great. The host was super responsive and the place worked for us.The back yard was awesome for our dogs and the location of the apartment was pretty convenient. We felt safe in the area as well. One thing we didn’t like as much was the bed size but I understand that’s tough to address with the size of bedrooms in the apartment. We did find a dead mouse (in a trap) and saw another live mouse. The host provided us with traps and peanut butter. We weren’t bothered by them but it’s good to know about
This property is older, so you'll experience some creaks and misfitting cabinet doors. Beds were comfy and the backyard was big with a nice backyard. Overall, the neighborhood was cute and quiet.
My family and I loved how close this property was to the hospital. It is in a great neighborhood, would definitely recommend to family and friends. Property host had gone above and beyond for us. And we thank her for everything.
