Whistler’s Glacier Lodge is true ski-in, ski-out accommodation offering guests incredible convenience for accessing the slopes and fantastic complex amenities including a pool, two hot tubs, a fitness room, secure underground parking, ski lockers, shared laundry and complimentary wireless internet. Located mere steps from the Blackcomb Daylodge and base of the Wizard Express chairlift, The Glacier Lodge is situated in the Whistler Upper Village which contains many of Whistler’s best stores, restaurants and bars. The Whistler Village itself is only about five minutes walk away via a scenic pedestrian stroll over a couple of bridges and through one of Whistler’s parks.

Guests will enjoy being in the quieter side of town while still having ski-in, ski-out access and being in close proximity to everything throughout Whistler.

Glacier Lodge #247 is approximately 600sq/ft and is a one bedroom condominium located all on one level on the second floor of the Glacier Lodge building. This well maintained vacation rental has received extensive upgrades including new carpet, updated furniture and a kitchen and bathroom renovation which includes granite countertops. The bedroom has a comfortable Queen sized bed and the living area contains a sofabed making the property suitable for up to four guests. Other amenities in this popular Glacier Lodge unit include a fully equipped kitchen, gas fireplace, T.V. and DVD player, CD Stereo and a private deck overlooking the grassy courtyard and pool area. Glacier Lodge #247 is in a desirable and quiet part of the building making this condominium a perfect home base for your next Whistler holiday. Parking is PAID underground parking.

Location is great. The room is depressing. Bedding is rags and cleanliness of bedding questionable. Paying a lot for a dismal ambiance.

Beautiful unit

Checking in across town after a long stressful drive was not ideal. Signage was not noticeably visible. I couldn’t get coffee at front desk as I was checked in across town (that was so confusing) especially when all 15 members of the rest of my family checked in at same building as we were staying

There was plenty of space in the living room for a cot in addition to the sofa bed. Affinity Sports is located in the building and their team was a great help throughout the week. It was a bonus that they store all our skis (not just the rentals) and gave great skiing recommendations each morning. Upper Village is quieter than Whistler Village but still has a nice selection of restaurants. Whistler Village is a quick walk away.

We were happy with the location and property. But the bed sheet was not a Queen so it kept coming off. Only 4 spoons (3’small 1’large), 1 regular size drinking glass, fan over stove did not work, water from shower runs off the tub and on the floor. We had to put a towel on the tub where the curtain meets the wall. Not enough toilet paper for just two of us. No seasoning or spices except salt. Basics would be recommended. Tv too small.

Great room but ....

Good room. Would re-book. Be prepared however to bring salt,pepper coffee and tea. Nothing is provided. Not really a ski in ski out. Not complaining but it's about a 2 minute walk to hill however the trade-off is that you are close to many restaurants and shops.

It would be helpful to advise guests to go to the Reception in Glacier Lodge before entering the parking building to get the parking pass.

Right across from some awesome places to eat and some shops, Good location, but it is NOT ski -n- ski out. Had to walk at least 150 yards down a street then up to the lifts. It was advertised as ski -n ski out on VRBO. Also you can't take your skis into the unit so it added even more walking in ski boots to retrieve your Skis...

Thank you for your feedback. To clarify, we base the "Ski-in/Ski-Out" definition on the resort-wide requirements provided by Tourism Whistler and the Ski Industry wide definitions of Ski-in/Ski-Out. Based on those, The Glacier Lodge is most certainly a ski-in/ski-out property and we have actually not heard this being disputed before. While there is some walking from the slope to the Glacier Lodge building entrance (about 150 yards as you mention), you could literally hit the Glacier Lodge with a snowball from the mountain base.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Loved the location of the property - short walk to the lower village. Pool and hot tub were great. There is NO A/C so the room was stifling hot - however a fan provided some relief. All the units are owned by different people, a property management company rents them out. Towels were not changed over our 5 night stay and even getting a roll of toilet paper involved having the company deliver it to the hotel - the front desk would not just give us one. Service was definitely below par in comparison to any hotel that we have stayed in before. You are expected to take out your own garbage and recycling at the end of your stay - they do not do this on a daily basis.

Conveniently located with a small grocery across the driveway. Beer/liquor store in the same building. Pool & spa were adequate.Laundry just down the hall. A short walk to the lifts. Bus stop at bottom of driveway or 5 minute walk to Whistler Village along a scenic trail. We would definitely stay here again.
