We really enjoyed our stay at the Mainelander! It was super pet friendly, clean, private, and homey. We really enjoyed how minimal and just easy to stay it was! We would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a stay a little farther away from Bar Harbor, closer to Schoodic Peninsula, with great views on the drive there and cute places to stop by and explore!!
Nice and clean place. Is close to the main road, so there is some road noise, but not too much. Hosts are very friendly and responsive. Super easy check in/out process. Enjoyed our stay.
Property was clean and adorable. The host made the process very easy and accommodating with unforeseen circumstances. The low ceilings take you by surprise as tall people but the signage is very helpful. Beautiful area and the kayaks were so fun. Would definitely return!
Tiny house was a fun experience! It was tight for a family, and certainly not for those with mobility issues, but those were clearly noted in the listing. The property was very clean. The property was nice but felt more like a lot, vs a mature established property.
We loved staying here! We loved the walk down to the lake and kayaking. The lake is beautiful with ducks, loons, and geese. The fires outside at night were great! We loved the recommendations in the book left on the coffee table. Our favorite place we ate was Bunkers, which is close by the house. We also absolutely loved hiking out to Ravens Nest and Shoodic Point, highly recommend doing that! The drive out to Bar Harbor isn’t bad and the drive is scenic. We also recommend renting E-bikes and doing the carriage roads, it’s definitely worth it! We absolutely loved our entire trip to Acadia National Park and the tiny house was perfect for us!
It was the perfect little house for our stay in Maine. We loved the location - much quieter than places closer to the island, and there was a lot to do right nearby on the schoodic peninsula. The house had everything we needed to be comfortable when we weren’t out exploring!
We had a great time staying here - super cute and cozy. We were able to cook in most nights and the pond for kayaking was so beautiful. Really enjoyed staying on the quieter side of Acadia and the drive to the main Acadia area was easy and scenic!
Easy check-in and check-out, very cozy and well furnished. Off a main road but private and isolated. We brought our two dogs and they were very content. We had a great time- thank you!
We enjoyed our stay and would recommend, especially for 2 people!!! Just a few things to be aware of….The lake/kayaks are about a 15 minute hike away and it was a little hard to find the trail. There are no blinds in the one loft area and blinds only on one of the windows in the other loft area so bring a sleep mask if needed. One bed is extremely close to the ceiling. It’s about an hour drive from Bar Harbor and the main Acadia stuff. The place is quite small but it had what we needed. (There is no dishwasher, no microwave, a full-sized fridge/freezer, a washer/dryer combo, an oven/stove, an awesome electric kettle.) 2 adults and 2 younger kids worked but it was tight. There is only seating for 2 people to eat. The place was clean, cute, comfortable, and cozy! We loved the outdoor space and lucked out with nice weather.
We loved every minute of this tiny home, cooked most of our meals in the kitchen and on the grill, enjoyed the fire pit and star gazing at night. We really did feel like we were the only ones in the area. Great trip.
We loved this tiny cabin! It was packed full with creative touches and amenities we didn’t expect (washer/dryer - yay!). Wish it could have been warmer so we could have tried out the bathtub, but overall this place was great. The owners also provided great recommendations for food and exploring nearby.
Great stay for our one night. Everything was as advertised, clean, with everything one needs. Our dogs loved the wooded path to the water and had fun with all the space. Thanks for a lovely time.
Had a blast, very private away from crowds but close enough to do whatever you want in the area. Host was fast to answer any questions we had. Watch your head for real if you’re any tall lol. Great stay 10/10
Very quiet hideaway about 1hr from the major attractions in Acadia on MDI. The host is very friendly and tried their best to help when communication through the app was not working. Trust them when they say this is a TINY HOME! If you enjoy the glamping vibes, this one is for you. Very low ceilings and tight spaces for sleeping. Kayaks are a nice addition and very functional. Although, expect a bit of a walk to get to the water on a forest path. Additional, be advised that the driveway is gravel and fairly steep. I had a small SUV and was able to get down the driveway. If you have a low vehicle, be careful driving in. If you are renting a vehicle from the airport, don’t get a small car. Overall, this was just the vibe I was looking for and I enjoyed being outside the hustle and bustle of the park. Great space for the adventurer or couples looking for something unique.
We had an amazing time staying in the Tiny house in Gouldsboro. We toured and hiked the Schoodic Peninsula, drove down to Bar Harbor, and finished the day off with dinner in Winter Harbor before coming home to our cat waiting for us in the Tiny House. We loved it!
